Setting: TANGIERS ORBITAL, Corridor
They were right there... within his grasp and once
again *she* ruined everything.
"Report!" Enaii demanded as she emerged from the room,
followed by a couple of security personnel helping
Susan and Lea out, both of them looking a
little shaken.
"Zulot and T'Preel escaped… passing through that wall
gave them the advantage they needed… we need to go
after them." The CEO offered obviously more than ready
to rip the entire TANGIERS ORBITAL into small pieces
in order to locate the 2 men who had just made their
exit.
"Negative… this mission is as of right now *over*. We
have Lea… the rest is secondary and inconsequential."
The ILO explained sternly.
David couldn't believe his ears. Secondary?
Inconsequential?! Was this woman insane?!
"Just what in the hell do you mean secondary and
inconsequential?!" David barked as he challenged the
ILO.
"You *heard* me. And don't think..." Enaii replied as
Serenna and Sabrina tried to hold back the massive
engineer.
"I don't give a damn what you think!" David snapped,
"Those bastards *killed* my brother! And you're just
gonna let them walk?!"
The ILOs icy blue eyes met the hazel eyes of the CEO.
She took two steps towards the massive man and Serenna
thought about David's reaction in the infirmary back
on NEW ALEXANDRIA.
"I don't have the time to argue with you David... so
I'm going to make this short and sweet. Help Serenna
get Maya, Susan, and Lea to the transport shuttle. Go
now... before you piss me off!"
The CSciO, COO, CMO, and Counselor exchanged glances
as the CEO glared at the ILO. In one delft move, David
turned and grabbed the first slot machine he saw,
ripped it out of the floor and threw it across the
room then stormed off.
Serenna sighed, "So much for him not loosing his
temper."
"At least he didn't hit anyone" Susan added.
"Get to the shuttle" Enaii hissed as she grabbed
Sabrina by the arm.

When Serenna, Susan, Lea, and Maya arrived David had
the shuttle powered up. He was sitting in the pilots
chair as Lea slowly approached.
"David, I..."
The massive CEO looked over his shoulder. "Don't."
"David... I know you're upset..."
David spun the chair around to face the CMO. "Do you
now? Tell me 'Doc'... in all your infinite wisdom, what
gave it away?!"
"David" Serenna said in a warning tone.
"What" the CEO growled, "you gonna come scold me cause
I'm extremely pissed off right now?!"
"What good is it going to do you to take it out on
us?!" Serenna snapped, "*we* didn't end the mission.
And I know how bad you want to get your hands on Zulot
and T'Preel... but trust me... you *will* have your
chance to."
"Leave it to that evil bitch I won't" the CEO hissed.
"David, that wasn't fair" Susan said.
"And?!" the CEO retorted as he stood grabbing his
coat.
"Where do you think you're going?" Serenna asked but
David pushed past them.
"I asked you a question Lieutenant."
"No rank... *no* answers to stupid assed questions" the
CEO hissed and stepped out of the shuttle.
Maya sat quietly in the rear of the shuttle. "I think
I should go talk to him..." and all the sudden, the
shuttle was hit by a loud klang.
"What the hell was that?!" Lea asked looking around.
"Isn't it obvious?" Serenna replied as she ran a
systems check on the shuttle...

David stood on the precipice overloking the San
Fransisco Bay looking down on the jagged rocks below.
**I don't think you want to jump** a voice said behind
him.
"No" the CEO replied, "I just... I don't know what I
want."
**Yes you do. Blood is what you want. Cardassian and
Romulan. The more the better...**
"No... I'm not a murderer..."
**But they were. Did they show remorse when they
killed Jordan? I think not.**
David turned and saw him. This time, he was dressed in
a Starfleet uniform... and the blue tunic of
engineering no doubt.
"Trying to look like me?" the CEO asked.
**I am you David** he replied, **we are one in the
same. Just housed in the same mind. But I can get you
*everything* you want... revenge... power...**
"I don't want that..."
**How do you know? You said you didn't know what you
wanted so how can you be sure?**
David looked at him. He smiled.
**All you have to do is let me in David.**
"I can't... you cause pain... you cause havoc..."
**All in the name of what's right. And what's right is
wrapping *our* hands around their necks til the life
seeps out of them... *slowly*.**
David looked at him again. Again he smiled.
**What do you say?**

David was leaning against the shuttle right next to
the indentation in the rear panel and he laughed. He
felt anew... as the dark red rings surrounded the red
irises of his eyes...
