Lea had been unable to wait to undo the cosmetic surgery that had transformed her into a Halanan woman. Had she been able to do so, the CMO would have done this the night before, but other things had taken priority. These had included resting and filling out a detailed report of what had happen while on the TANGIERS ORBITAL. Unfortunately those had not happened in that order.

The majority of the crew had gone to their quarters the moment they had stepped onboard the ANUBIS. Lea had been amongst the leaders of that pack, but when she got there things started to go in a different direction. With the adrenaline brought on by the situation of being held captive gone, Lea felt emotionally tired. Exhausted in fact, yet she could not find it in her to sleep or even rest.

Because of that Lea had spent a considerable amount of time filling out her report which detailed the events that had taken place. While she listed what she could remember of what had happened, Lea kept looking at her wrists. The damage that the restraints had made was superfluous, but Lea could still feel the tightness of the ropes against her skin. Lea had taken care of the lesions with a dermal-regenerator but that had done nothing to take away the sensation. It seemed that Lea would have to speak with Susan, but not yet.

Even after hours of sleep, if you could call what the CMO had done to be actual sleep, Lea could still feel the tightness around her wrists. While busy undoing the cosmetics alterations, the discomfort did not bother Lea. Unfortunately the majority of those who had undergone these changes had come and gone. This had left Lea alone with the haunting sensation.

Lea could have gone to see Susan in her office, using the excuse that the Cns had not come to see the CMO for that *nose job* she was scheduled for. This would have given Lea the excuse she would have needed to mention the lingering feeling around her wrists. The problem was that the CMO had not wanted to become more of a burden than she had already been. So instead Lea had come here for a cup of coffee which had remained untouched in front of her for the past 30 mins.

The CMO had been rescued once before and it started to feel like this had become a routine for the rest of the crew. Go into a mission, find out what the problems were, rescue the CMO from peril, and go back home.

Something had gone wrong during the mission to the TANGIERS ORBITAL and Lea knew it. The problem was that the CMO could not help but feel as if she had been to blame for the mission having been called off.

Lea tried to hold back her tears as she thought of David and his brother. Had she not been captured, the CEO would have likely been able to apprehend those responsible for the anus act. Instead Enaii had been forced to use her influence and contacts within the administration of the casino to rescue Lea.

The outcome of this, as far as Lea knew, had been that the cover of the entire team had been blown. Because of that it had made sense that the mission had been called off, which of course only made Lea feel worse. Right now Lea felt as if the entire crew had it in for her, or at least some of its *larger* members.

As far as Lea had been concerned, she would not have blamed David is he had never wanted to speak to her again. From where the CMO sat, it had been her fault that the mission had ended as it had. Lea could also imagine that Enaii had been less than happy with the CMO. The ILO was used to dealing with professionals who knew what to do in all types of situations. All that Lea seemed able to do was to get captured by whatever bad guy they were after.

Even if Lt. Cmdr. Enaii had not been utterly pissed at Lea, which the CMO was sure the ILO was, it still left the CO and ExO. As the senior most officers they would be the ones held accountable for what happened. Or more to the point what didn't happen, like a smooth running mission. Admiral Koneki would drop on them like a ton of bricks and they would in turn point to the one ultimately responsible. Ensign Lea Summers. Her.
