Prav went directly from sickbay to his office, but no sooner had the door shut behind him came the chime indicating someone was wanting to see him.
He continued to his desk and sat down, contemplating just ignoring whoever it was but it was quite obvious that whoever it was saw him enter the office.
"Come," he said, praying that the CNS hadn't followed him from sickbay. A silent sigh of relief came over him when he saw his second-in-command, Tes'Karka enter his office.
"I was just about to go over the results from the training exercise," he said shuffling a few of the PADDs that littered his desk.
"She did a fine job," Tes' Karka said as she approached the desk and took a seat.
He glanced up at the Klingon, confused about the 'she' she was referring to.
"The doctor," Tes said, baring her teeth with a grin.
"I'm fine," he said grumpily and returned his attention back to the reports. Although Tes'Karka had been leading a squad in another part of the ship he knew that it wouldn't take too long for word of his injury to reach her.
"I would hope that is not true," she said, watching his head jerk up to meet her eyes. She couldn't imagine that he could get so easily taken out if he had been 100%.
"Thanks for your concern," he scoffed looking back to his work. "It looks like the men did an adequate job with this but I'd like to run one more drill tonight."
Not one to ever turn down an opportunity to train, Tes'Karka was quite ready to run another drill but she wasn't sure if her commander was. "Sir, I'd be more then happy to lead that…"
His head shot up as he looked hard at her. "I told you, I'm perfectly fine. The bone has been repaired and is as good as new so if you don't mind, let me do my job."
Certainly not thinned skinned, Tes was taken back by his reaction. "I wasn't suggesting you couldn't perform your duty," she began but hesitated as she formulated how she wanted to proceed. "I am just concerned, for you to get injured in such a drill is… unexpected."
The pain that Lea had mentioned was beginning to bother him that coupled with this conversation was turning him into one agitated Enaran. "I got distracted for a moment, it could happen to anyone," he said defensively.
She didn't like the way this conversation was going either. She certainly wasn't one to question her commanding officer but something was definitely going on and according to her assessment it could prove dangerous to the entire unit. She shook her head at his response. "Maybe a green recruit but I have never known you to get distracted in combat."
He knew what she wanted to say to him. She wanted to tell him to get his head on straight and fly right. It is certainly what he would tell her if the situation was reversed. Any other day he probably would have acknowledged her concern but between the pain and the doubt and the guilt he wasn't ready to be cooperative. Without acknowledging her last statement he returned to task at hand. "Contact Ensign Dorotheva and inform her that we will be running another infiltration drill at 23:00. I want Krung to take his assault team and you to lead Baaset for this."
She looked at him expectedly, hoping he would make the prudent choice and give Kelly the shot to lead Ammut. She was going to be disappointed.
"I'll take Ammut. I'll clear it with Commander Serrena, the bridge and engineering will be the objectives." He looked at his executive officer but didn't expect any response. "Dismissed," he said and then went back to his PADDs.

He stared at his monitor. He certainly hadn't expected anything from Eneth yet. The promotion only added to his confusion as he continued to second guess his decision to send the information to ENARA PRIME.
He called up a picture of a tiny primate like creature. It was a Cebuella, a very popular pet on ENARA PRIME and as a child, Prav had one named Rashi. In his message he had requested that Eneth find a way to have one shipped to EARTH where he could then have it delivered to him through Starfleet channels. He wanted to give it to Maya, sort of an apology present. Delivery of the small animal might be the only way he'd know if the information had made it to his friend.
He glanced over at the chronometer and decided he should grab something to eat. Still stinging from the embarrassment of the earlier training drill he decided to skip the Marine mess hall and headed to the Black Hole for a quick meal.
