Stardate: 60324.2020
Setting: USS ANUBIS, Bridge

Looking at the results of their first attack, the Romulan/Terran hybrid could easily predict the outcome of the battle. Even taking into account the upgrades that the GALOR-Class destroyers had so far displayed, it was clear to see that the Cardassian ship was no match for the ANUBIS. Giving the ship the external appearance of a research vessel had played in their favor and lured their opponents into a false sense of security. Having been able to separate the two ships had also played a major part in the victory that would soon be theirs for the taking.

Taking a moment to glance around the bridge to make sure that everyone was alright, the XO noticed just how calm everyone had been despite them being in the midst of an all out conflict. Looking at the two stations at the far back of the bridge, the Romulan/Terran hybrid saw that both the CSciO and CEO appeared to be worlds away, David likely dealing with some engineering problem somewhere on the ship while Maya was doing pertaining to science. Knowing them both as she did, the former Ops officer had no problems leaving them to their own things, certain that they were working on something pertinent to their immediate situation.

Turning her attention to Ens. Doratheva, their new Sec/Tac officer, the Romulan/Terran hybrid saw an enthusiasm that the XO found oddly familiar and refreshing. Listening to the woman's report made it that much more clear that the Ensign had been right where she had needed to be. "All shot were on target. Reading portside shield generator working at 30%, starboard generator is offline. The Cardassian have compensated for the opening by diverting power from the forward and aft generators. Another couple of shots like that and they will have no defensive capabilities left."

Smiling at the news, the CO stood from the chair that she had finally accepted to be hers and approached the Ops and FCO stations located at the forefront of the bridge. "Helm, moves us in a perpendicular posture to that ship, they are going to try and keep their starboard out of our reach which will make their portside that much more vulnerable. Tactical, well done, but right now I am actually more worried about that ship's offensive capabilities. Our only advantage is that we tricked them into a one-on-one situation, if this should change, I do not want to be in the middle of a crossfire."

Nodding her understanding, Ens. Doratheva quickly modified their attack angle to comply with the concerns and demands of their CO. Locking phasers on primary weapons' platform, torpedoes locked on the aft section of the ship, if we can immobilize them, it will make things that much easier."

Realizing that the Edo/Betazoid woman knew what she was doing, the CO left the specific details of their continued attack on the Cardassian ship to the Ensign's discretion. While the ship moved into position as per the captain's orders, the CO turned to look at her XO and made asked a question that came across as having been equally personal and professional. "How are the VIPERS doing?"

Scanning her instruments, the Romulan/Terran hybrid reviewed the sensor logs for the last few seconds to get a more accurate picture of what had happened with the holographic USS LOKI. "They seem to have everything under control, sensors did pick up a volley of missiles being fired at them but from the looks of things none of the VIPERS were affected."

Appearing relieved by the report, the CO returned her attention to the main view screen only to have her head snapped back towards the back when the XO let out a gasp of astonishment. Worried that something had just happened to the VIPERS and maybe its single pilot, the captain demanded an explanation. "What happened?"

Disbelieving the information being displayed by her own instruments, the XO hesitated to report what she had seen take place, but as she re-read the same data over and over again, the Romulan/Terran hybrid was forced to accept what she had seen as being fact. "Three missiles have been launched by the VIPERS."

Looking as stunned as the XO had sounded, the CO stepped around her chair and came to stand directly in front of the First Officer's station. "You mean *at* not *by*?"

After having once again confirmed what the sensors had reported, the Romulan/Terran hybrid shook her head and restated what she had reported only a few seconds ago. "No captain, I did mean *by*. Don't ask me how, but Lt. Cmdr. Enaii somehow managed to capture three of the missiles that the Cardassian had launched at them and she has turned them around and sent them back."

Remembering that because of the holographic generator the VIPERS had not been able to be equipped with more space consuming weapons such as a quantum torpedoes, the CO had been worried that the three small ships would find themselves severally overpowered by the Cardassian destroyer. Grinning at the XO, the captain dismissed her concerns knowing that she should have had more confidence in her wife's ability to overcome any and all tactical disadvantage.

Believing with almost complete certitude that the ILO had everything well in hand, the CO returned her attention to the enemy ship currently appearing on their view screen. "Let's take them down and give Lt. Pravat and his men something to sink their proverbial teeth into."
