Lea had reached for her tricorder and had started to scan the CEO. In order to prove that something had taken control of David the CMO needed to have something to compare her findings to. Lea could only hope that the influence had left David. If it hadn't her scans would prove to be as useless as vegetarian diet for an Antican. As she performed her scans Lea carefully watched David who seemed to be more at peace than ever before.

"Don't worry," Lea said in a quiet voice while the tricorder was being made to go over David's head. Luckily for the CMO the CEO had sat back down on the couch making her job easier. Recording brainwave patterns would have been easier in Sickbay but as Serenna had mentioned time was against them.

David looked up at Lea, his eyes reflecting an unending appreciation for what the ExO and CMO were doing. Despite all that had happened it seemed that David still had friends onboard the ANUBIS. And for that he was eternally grateful.

"I'm not worried," David lied. For a man as large as he was the tone of his voice had almost been that of a child. Soft and quiet. Something that Lea actually found endearing in some ways.

"You are a lousy liar David Dawson," Lea said running her fingers over the man's bald head. "That may be why we like you so much."

"Not everyone," the CEO said thinking about Sabrina. Even if the CO did not file official charges against him, for whatever reason, David could not imagine Sabrina *liking* him. That she had been right or not Sabrina had blamed him for the death of Enaii. Worst was that the CEO also blamed himself regardless of whether or not he had been *possessed*.

"You just concentrate on making that list," Lea said while closing her tricorder. "I have to get back to Sickbay and start running a complete analysis on these scans. If you need anything, just call."

David grinned. The prospect of being drummed out of Starfleet in disgrace didn't seem all that bad. Thanks to those who had come to his rescue without his asking. Maybe the universe had not been as bad has the CEO thought.

Setting: USS ANUBIS, CMO's Office
Stardate: 60326.1220

Lea tried to follow the information being displayed on the two screens in front of her. The CMO had seen the CSciO do much more than this. Maya had been observed working on three, four or even more screens at the same time. Lea having problems keeping up with only two the CMO wondered how the CSciO did what she did.

Not wanting to be distracted by her thoughts of Maya's work prowess, Lea doubled her efforts. Scanning David's medical records had been hard enough. Since there had been no timeline established Lea had to start at the very beginning. If David had been possessed by something, it could have happened at anytime and on any planet. The worst part was that the CMO was trying to find something that she knew nothing about. If Lea did find something it would be out of pure luck, but that did not stop the CMO. David's career hung in the balance and she owed him from his rescue back on the TANGIERS ORBITAL.

A gentle alarm warned Lea that another of her work had been completed. While the CMO had been visually scanning the medical records the computer had also been busy. Using her last scan of David's brainwaves Lea had requested a comparative search of the rest of the crew. If David had indeed been possessed by something, the entity might have done the same to others. Lea was disappointed although not entirely surprise when the result of the search came back negative.

Lea sighed. The comparative scan had been a long shot. It would have given Serenna more to base a defence on, but now none of that mattered. The CMO needed to find some physical proof to show that David had not been himself. So far though all of Lea's research had given her nothing concrete to work on.

With so much to go through Lea hoped for some luck. After all it was said that luck favoured the foolish, and looking for something unknown was as foolish as it could be.
