Lea, Susan and Serenna had spent the last half hour talking about the merits of the Cns' theory. Trying to make sense of SDS as a medical condition had left everyone lost and confused. Revisiting the condition this time as a possible mental disorder had opened up a few doors not before considered.

Susan had started the ball rolling and the other two women at the table had quickly picked it up. As fresh as the discussion had been though, no one had been able to come up with a new solution. The theory had sparked some interesting ideas but after half an hour ideas had been all that Lea, Susan and Serenna had to show for their time.

"It is starting to sound as if my earlier suggestion is still the best possible course of action," Lea said. The comment made Susan and Serenna glare at the CMO, the earlier suggestion she had referred to having been operating on David's brain. "At least if we can show *something* to Koniki he might be more inclined to believe us."

Shaking her head Susan smacked her friend's shoulder. "I doubt that showing him the disembodied brain of our CEO is going to do *anything*."

Just then the most unexpected thing happened, the lights throughout the ship turned off. The next thing Lea and the others heard were the crashing and breaking of glasses and the cursing from some patrons.

"Great," Serenna said, glad that they had been in an area of the ship with windows. "Looks like both primary and auxiliary power went offline at the same time."

"Look at things on the bright side," Lea said, the evil grin on her face still visible in spite of the darkness around her.

"Look on the *bright* side?" Susan said in a teasing manner, making fun at her friend's choice of words.

"Yes. With David locked away on NEW ALEXANDRIA there is no way that the Captain will be able to pin this one on our CEO." The observation failed to make Susan or Serenna laugh or even smile. The Cns had not found the comment at all funny and the ExO had been too preoccupied by what could have caused the power outage.

"Keep working on the latest theory," the ExO said as she stood from her chair. "I'll try to find out what happened. If you come up with anything let me know right away." With that Serenna left the darkened lounge which now had a more appropriate name.

"I think we are going to need some extra help," Lea said. As interesting as the new theory had been it still failed to provide the defence team with the edge that they so desperately needed.

"I think the first thing we will need is some lights," Susan said while looking at whatever feature of the room she could still see. "Without power and lights it is going to be hard for us to continue working."

"Do you think that maybe the Admiral had something to do with this?" Lea said voicing her suspicions. "Maybe he is afraid that we will find a way to show that David was not responsible for what happened."

"Don't start with the conspiracy theory," Susan dryly chuckled. "We already have one theory to work on and it is more than enough,' the Cns continued just as the lights returned.

=/\= Ensign Summers, please report to the Bio Chemistry Lab on Deck 14, =/\= a strangely familiar voice said. At first the CMO had thought that it had been her imagination but the look on Susan's face said otherwise. It seemed that Lea had not been imagining things and the voice that they had just heard had sounded like that of their former ILO.

"I am sure that there is a perfectly logical explanation," Susan whispered, debating if she would follow her friend to Deck 14. Finding out whose voice had been so similar to Enaii's could be interesting, but Susan decided to not let her imagination take the best of her. Of course that decision was made irrelevant when the same voice made another request.

=/\= Ensign Mei, please report to the Bio Chemistry Lab on Deck 14. =/\=

"This is just too creepy," Lea said nervously before taking the lead.

Lea and Susan arrived at the lab just as Maya did the same, the CSciO looking as perplexed at the Cns and CMO.

"Do you have any idea as to who called us?" Susan asked, suspecting that the CSciO had received the same summon.

"No," Maya replied in an atypically short answer. "But I say we find out without any further delay."

The three women walked into the room crossing through some sort of energy field before discovering that the lab was still without lights. It took a few moments for Lea, Susan and Maya to notice that only the lights had been turned off. All of the work stations were working and displayed a strange array of numbers that seemed to make no sense.

"What is going on in here?" Susan asked, growing increasingly worried.

"I don't know," Lea replied looking back to the closed doorway they had stepped through. "All I know is that when we came in we walked through a bio-decontamination field."

"A bio-decontamination field? Why would there be such a field placed at the entrance of this lab?" Maya asked, but before she could continue another voice came from the darkness.

"We are sorry, but this was necessary for our protection," the woman possessing Enaii's voice said. "I can imagine that you have many questions. We will do our best to answer them all, but first allow me to introduce myself. I am Jaycee," the woman said as she stepped out of the complete darkness. The little light present in the room had made it very hard for anyone to see anything. As little as they had been able to see though, the three women had seen enough. Lea, Susan and Maya felt their blood freeze as they saw the woman's features. This Jaycee could have easily been Enaii or a very closely related sibling.

"This is not going to work," En said from deeper in the darkness. The sister suffering from OCD had remained hidden so that her routine would not attract any more attention.

"There was a 97% chance that they would react as they have following seeing either one of us," Jaycee said. "Now we just wait and see what happens next."
