Over the last few hours the Shillian scientist had learned to appreciate a very specific and seldom appreciated side of the now deceased Intelligence Liaison Officer: her silence. Enaii could go for days without speaking out loud to anyone, allowing her actions or her eyes to say all that needed to be said when necessary. As much as the Chief Science Officer had observed the similar genetic traits shared between Enaii and her sisters, at least the physical resemblances between Enaii and Jaycee and the behavioural ones shared by all three, the ability to remain silent had definitely not been a common trait. The best and most amusing part of this fact-based opinion had been that the scientist had known herself well enough to know that the observation had been very ironic, since it was the Shillian looking upon the only visible sister and think of the woman as being overly talkative.
"According to my latest research," En said from behind the veil of darkness that hid her appearance, and the fact that she had flicked her wrists the required number of times before speaking, "a neurological shock equating to seventeen microwatts should cause the two recorded brainwave patterns to be separated allowing us to remove the intruding one from the target."
"There is a 68,7 percent chance that such a shock would cause irreparable damage to the neurology of the target," Jaycee said as she looked at another set of data on a freshly obtained PADD. "The information provided by Doctor Summers as to the physical nature of the target have proven most valuable and have identified potential weaknesses in our current approach. Although the fact that the presence of nanites within the target had been known to us, the updated data is clearly showing that any neurological shock could result in excessive damage being caused to the body. We need to find a way to trigger a neurological shock in the target without directly affecting the nervous system, and so far the earlier suggestion made by the Chief Medical officer, that of placing the target in a vacuum, has the highest probability of success with an 88.2 percent chance of success."
"His *name* is David!" The Chief Medical officer snapped, slamming the PADD that she had in her hand against the top of the work station she had been working at. "And for the hundredth time, what I said was not a suggestion, it was a joke. Yes it was a lousy joke, but trying to keep my wits about me with you throwing percentages out every twenty seconds or so is frankly driving me *nuts*!"
The Counsellor moved closer to her friend and gentle began rubbing the back of the panting woman in an attempt to calm her down. "Lieutenant Dawson may only be a *target* to you, but he is our friend," Ensign Mei said trying to both explain to Jaycee and En why the outburst had happened and also to remind Lea that although they all had been on the same side, their approach and reasons for being here had been worlds apart.
Even the little Enaran monkey that the Marine First Lieutenant had given to the Shillian scientist seemed to understand this difference something that Jaycee seemed completely at odds to understand. She and her sister En had come here to offer their assistance in discovering a solution to the SDS problem, so why were these women reacting so emotionally to something as simple as a name?
"Our apologies," En said after a short pause making everyone present believe that maybe they had finally made additional progress in bridging the gap that had been between them since the very start. "The use of the term *target* may be misleading, Lieutenant D-A-W-S-O-N is not the focus of our work although maintaining his status is important to us, our primary and only objective is the entity known as R-I-C-H-A-R-D which has been identified as being the one responsible for the death of E-N-A-I-I."
"Wait a minute," the Counsellor gasped, "you mean to tell us that the only reason for you helping us is not to save David but to seek revenge on Richard?"
"Of course, why else would we be here?" Jaycee asked, finding it interesting that the three women had apparently entertained the possibility that the assistance of the two sisters had been primarily meant to exonerate the Chief Engineering Officer instead of bringing to justice the entity truly responsible for the death of Enaii. "We have no wish to see an innocent man pay for the crime of another," the sister who had been working with the others said feeling her anxiety growing by leaps and bounds, "our only wish is to see the one responsible be dealt with as he should."
"Now things are making a little more sense," Ensign Mei said while moving closer to Jaycee causing the sister to take several large steps backwards. "Although it appears that we are both working towards the same goal, which we are, you have failed to take into consideration that the reason for working on this plays a large role in how we come up with possible solutions," Susan said feeling a little disappointed in herself for not having noticed this discrepancy earlier on.
"I fail to see the difference," En said breaking the awkward silence that had taken over the room, "the final objective is the only matter of relevance."
"Maybe to you," the Chief Medical Officer said in a most angrily manner, "but to us it makes a very *big* difference." Confused by the last words of Ensign Summers Jaycee turned towards the darkness as if looking for an answer from her sister, instead the action of the sister allowed the Chief Science Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Head Counsellor to make a decision without speaking.

A small alarm rang at the security station immediately summoning the attention of the Nausicaan officer, and as soon as Ensign Rostov identified the cause of the alarm her opened a channel to the Commanding Officer. "Rostov to Captain Rikar."
=/\= Go ahead Ensign, =/\= the Commanding Officer replied in a quiet tone.
"I am not sure what just happened, but Ensign Summers, Ensign Mei and Lieutenant Commander Maya are back onboard and internal sensors read them as being on Deck 14 right outside of the Bio Chemistry Lab," Nico said sounding completely puzzled by the sudden and unexplained appearance of the three previously missing officers.
