Setting: NEW ALEXANDRIA, Admiral Koniki's Office
The young woman had decided to face the Admiral on the events that had lead to the death of the ANUBIS' CEO with the assistance of her ExO instead of the Sec/Tac officer. It was true that the Nausicaan would have been more intimidating but Rikar quickly realized that intimidation was not the proper road to follow when dealing with the head of the NEW ALEXANDRIA complex. Sabrina hoped that having Serenna by her side during this head-to-head would prove to be a more efficient tactic that would result in some real answers finally being obtained.
"Come in, have a seat." The Admiral offered to the 2 women who had been shown to his office without any delay. The welcoming tone of the base's CO took both women by surprise… a fact that had been impossible to miss as per the expressions on their faces.
"When I contacted you earlier about David's disappearance you told me that he was under your care and safe." The redheaded woman pointed out as she sat down in one of the chairs the Admiral had offered to the 2 visiting officers.
"Yes… I remember." Koniki admitted without hesitation leading the ANUBIS' CO to believe that the Admiral had yet to be made aware of the death of the ANUBIS' CEO.
"Well, about 15 minutes ago David suddenly reappeared in the ANUBIS' Sickbay." Rikar announced as the anger within her began to once again make its way to the surface.
"I did say that he would be returned to you." The Admiral stated, sounding overly confident of himself.
"Actually… you said that because of reasons that you could not go into his relocation was necessary, that you were taking care of things and for us to relax and not concern ourselves with his whereabouts." The half Human, half Romulan woman corrected proving to the flag officer that her memory had been as sharp as ever.
"And now he is *DEAD*." The young woman unleashed. As much as she might have wanted him to pay for the death of Enaii the ANUBIS' CO had not at all appreciated the way justice had been dealt and that it clearly appeared as if the Admiral had named himself both judge and jury for this particular case.
"Are you certain?" Koniki offered in a teasing manner obviously knowing something that the ANUBIS' CO and ExO did not.
"Why wouldn't we be certain? We witnessed his death personally." The hybrid First Officer countered with gradually finding the tone used by the Admiral abrasive.
"Because… according to this… your CEO is still alive and being attended by your own medical personnel." Koniki announced as he turned the monitor on top of his desk towards the 2 sitting women so that they could see for themselves what he had been looking at since the arrival of the ANUBIS CO and ExO into his office.
Believing that this was a trick of some sort the young woman reached for her comm badge and contacted the woman she could see frantically working over what did appear to be David.
"Rikar to Doctor Summers, please respond." The redheaded woman called out watching the woman in question on the small desktop screen that the Admiral had turned to face them.
=/\= Captain, this is Ensign Mei. Doctor Summers is a little busy at the moment; it seems that the accepting of David's death may have been a little premature. =/\= The ANUBIS' Cns explained, coming into view of the visual feed as she spoke.
"Please explain." The ExO demanded still not entirely convinced that this had not been some elaborate trick created by the Admiral to put into question the accusations of wrong doing that the ANUBIS' CO had been ready to present the flag officer with.
=/\= Somehow… and don't ask me how… David's brain and entire neural system was jump-started. This in turn caused the nanites supporting his heart to reactivate. I can't explain how or why, but all that I can say for the moment is that David is barely hanging on to life and it will take everything that I have to make sure he stays that way. =/\= The CMO explained obvious having been too busy to reach for her comm badge to acknowledge the call of her CO.
"What about brain damage? David has been *dead* for the lack of a better word for more than 5 minutes which should equate to his brain having suffered from oxygen deprivation." The young woman inquired falling back on her training and knowledge as a former CMO.
=/\= David's system was super oxygenated in an attempt to ward off some if not all of the negative effects of his exposure to space. Taking into consideration that his cardiovascular and respiratory systems suddenly stopped functioning only moments afterwards it is very possible that the oxygen present in his body allowed for the brain and other vital organs to survive without suffering any damage. Also, David's body temperature was still lower than normal which should have helped slow down any cellular decay normally caused by the lack of oxygen. =/\=
"Very well Doctor… I will let you get back to your patient. Please let me know as soon as there is any change in his condition… good or bad." The CO requested as she still tried to figure out how she had been meant to react to the news that David had not died.
"Will there be anything else?" Admiral Koniki inquired as if everything had been as it should, not at all looking troubled or surprised that David's condition had gone from one extreme to the other.
The young woman seemed taken completely aback by the recent events and the apparent detachment of the base's CO who gave the distinct impression that whatever had happened had neither been his fault or under his purview. When the half Romulan, half Human woman sitting next to Rikar realized that her CO was not going to comment, the XO jumped in with her own agenda.
"What about the court-martial?" Serenna bluntly inquired hoping that the Admiral would not dare to trial the CEO after having died and come back to life, even if only momentarily.
"I will be honest with you… I don't know. Officially David was declared dead by your EMH… therefore it would be difficult for me to justify putting a dead man on trial… even if he is not dead. For the time being I'll be happy to place the court-martial on hold until a more in-depth investigation can be made into the recent events. However it might be wise to advice Mr. Dawson that we will not be forgetting this and that he does not have much leeway before he will be back in this situation."

The same visual feed that Admiral Koniki had been looking at had also been on display on the monitors that En had been staring at for the last little while. Research was what she did best and she had wanted to see what her sister Ice had done while attempting to capture the remainder of the entity know as Richard. What En had not expected to see was the efforts of her sister trigger a reaction in the CEO that would most probably see him return to the land of the living.
"Here!" Ice snarled tossing the second containment device she had been given towards the sitting woman.
"You gave Ensign S-U-M-M-E-R-S quite a fright." En said after having flicked her wrists the required number of times.
"She scares easy." The sister commented wish a shrug of her shoulders obviously not at all caring about the woman of the state in which she had been left. Ice would not have admitted it openly but she enjoyed the idea that someone had been absolutely terrified simply by having caught a glimpse of her… something that she figured her sisters already suspected anyway.
"She will probably be thinking of you as a guardian angel from now on though." En said after again rotating her wrists the prerequisite number of times, making sure to have her computer screen between her and the sister who had been more than once described as dangerous and highly unstable.
"Why would she think of me as a guardian angel?" Ice demanded, not at all liking the idea of her being considered as a benevolent entity by *anyone*.
"Because… when you went to capture the rest of the entity… you caused a bio-neural reaction in Lt. D-A-W-S-O-N which might have literally brought him back from the dead." En explained, already seeing the rage reflecting in the eyes of her sister.
"WHAT!?!" Ice screamed before reaching for the nearest screen and turning it around so that she would be able to see what En had been talking about. It did not take long for the woman to see that her sister had been telling the truth, a reality that Ice could not accept… not only had he survived his time in the airlock but she had not been the direct cause of his death… and now she had been the one responsible for his return to life. Enraged by this realisation Ice stormed away sending anything and everything in her path flying as far as it could.
"I think she took it well." Katie grinned as she watched her infuriated sister cause more damage than someone of her size should be normally be responsible for.
