Setting: USS ANUBIS, Main Engineering
After the meeting, luncheon, and mission filler David returned to M.E... the only place on the ship where he felt comfortable. In the past few days, he'd endured several conversations about his future, his past, and what he needed to do to keep things together. The engineer's mind wandered as he sat at his desk. The first thing that came to mind was how much Talia looked like Enaii seated next to Sabrina. He wondered if she, like her deceased mother, would pick up the banner of Intel... which led to Sabrina. It was odd that the ANUBIS' CO never made eye contact with him. As he and Elan entered the Black Hole, he saw her smile at the Oltharian giant, but smirked when glanced at him. David mentally shrugged as mind led him to Lea.
"Long time coming" the massive CEO said to himself about Lea's promotion. He grinned inwardly as he glanced over several PADDs on his desk. He may be the assistant chief engineer on the HATHOR, but he *was* the top engineer of the ANUBIS... and that work looked like it'll never be completed. The ANUBIS was still several weeks away from the repairs and refit being completed...
"Bah" David said as he placed the PADD on his desk. He couldn't concentrate because of... a certain look? During the luncheon David noticed that Pravat was staring at him. Each time he looked at the MCO the marine glanced towards Maya. That was something else he said he needed to accomplish so there was no time like the present.

David entered the marine deck to several odd looks and geers. The CEO paid them no mind as he thumbed the chime on Pravat's door.
=/\= Enter, =/\= he heard and when he did and Pravat looked up David could see that his earlier thoughts were true.
"What can I do for you *sir*?" the marine asked his
words dripping with sarcasm in reference to the rank.
"I have a question for you Prav," David said.
"I *might* have a answer for you *sir*" he replied dryly.
"Other than what transpired between... you and Richard
on SURIAL III, do you have a problem with me?"
"Permission to speak freely..." Pravat said as David huffed.
"Cut the bull Pravat. This... reference to the rank..."
"That *is* what you told me on SURIAL Lieutenant," and Prav cocked his head, "what's the matter? Loss of memory? Maybe you forgot what you told me?"
David sighed, "Prav... it wasn't me... so to speak..."
"That's bullshit and you know it!" the MCO seethed,
"this 'Oh... I was possessed by my dead brother?'... and
you expect anyone in their right mind to believe that
croc?! You're dumber that you look if you do."
"OK..." David said, "but you were there... in Sickbay
when his spirit rose out of me..."
"Smoke and mirrors" the MCO said as he came from
behind his desk, "just as you've been prone to in the
past. You know something... you may have everyone
eating out of the palm of your hand with your bullshit
story, but *I* don't and am *not* buying it! So... if
there's anything else I can help you with sir?"
David eyed the MCO curiously. The MCO and CEO never were that friendly, but he never thought Prav would act like he did. It reminded him of how his conversation with Sabrina went.
"No Lieutenant" David replied, "sorry to have
disturbed you" and he turned and left. Outside the
marine compound David thought and knew exactly who
could help him in this situation. Besides, it was Elan
who told him that he needed to interact with the crew.
He tapped his badge.
"David to Maya..."
