Setting: USS HATHOR, Bridge
Stardate: 60331.0910

Watching the stars barely moving on the main view screen, the Romulan/Terran hybrid thought about what had happened and wondered if Pravat had had anything to do with it. The HATHOR had not suffered any damage and aside from the Oltharian's broken leg, the crew had come out of this with nothing more than a few scrapes and bruises. Glancing over her shoulder to the MCO standing at the back of the bridge, the HATHOR's CO tried to read the Enaran, but the man had developed the perfect 'poker face'.

Not wanting to confront the marine with the possibility that he had been the cause of this little mishap and believing that Pravat was more resourceful and devious than that, the Romulan/Terran hybrid dismissed the event as a mechanical malfunction and remained on full alert. Anticipating that the MCO had something exceptional planned, the Romulan/Terran hybrid suspected that *if* he had been responsible for what had happened, it had only been meant as a diversion to allow him to prepare the main event.

Realizing that she was on the verge of developing a case of paranoia that would make their Cns cringe, the HATHOR's CO decided to not give it another thought. Asking Pravat to test the crew had been the right decision, but pondering as to what that tests would entail had been counterproductive as there was nothing the Romulan/Terran hybrid could do about it other than wait and see.

Standing from the central chair, the hybrid decided to tour the bridge while she and the rest of the HATHOR's bridge staff waited for the engineering staff to fix whatever the problem had been. Thinking as the XO of the ANUBIS, the Romulan/Terran hybrid had initially wanted to go down to Main Engineering to survey the progress and see how David was fairing, but that thought was quickly pushed aside. Commanding the HATHOR meant that her place was on the bridge and this was even more so considering the current absence of her own XO.

Walking pass the Tactical station without asking the Nausicaan anything, the hybrid still found herself strongly repulsed by the Sec/Tac only because of his lineage. Having done nothing to warrant this sort of attitude being directed towards him, Ens. Rostov had grown accustomed to the hybrid's reactions around him. Since the Romulan/Terran hybrid was not only his superior but also his CO, Nico said nothing hoping that in time this friction between them would pass.

Moving on towards the front of the bridge and the FCO's station, the HATHOR's CO stopped and took a moment to take in the view of the peaceful starscape being displayed on the main view screen. Looking over the shoulder of the Hirogen ensign, the Romulan/Terran hybrid noticed that Uxtar had been working on alternate routes for the ship to reach its destination. "Planning on us taking a detour ensign?"

Grinning to himself the Hirogen waited a few seconds before turning around and looking at his CO. "No Sir. I just thought this would be a good time to give the navigational systems a little workout."

Nodding her acceptance of the work being done by the FCO, the Romulan/Terran hybrid returned to the central chair, silently looking forward to when the HATHOR would be able to resume its going to the KARRABY CLUSTER at a speed greater than the one they had been at. Risking the ship and crew had been out of the question but inching their way to their destination at impulse speed had not been the CO's idea of an 'exploration mission.'

Sitting down in her chair, the Romulan/Terran hybrid was greeted by the voice of the HATHOR's aCEO over the comm. channel. =/\= Dawson to bridge. =/\=

Hoping to hear some good news as to the status of the ship, the CO wasted no time in giving a reply. "Go ahead, David."

Hesitating just long enough to let the Romulan/Terran hybrid know that what would follow had not been as good as she might have expected to, the aCEO gave his preliminary report on the condition of the ship and the work that would be required. =/\= Just to let you know that we've figure out what the problem was, sort of. =/\=

Raising an eyebrow at the sound of the engineer's explanation, the HATHOR's CO demanded a more precise explanation, the report having been submitted by her former Academy classmate having been vague to say the least. "Sort of? Mind being a little more specific David?"

Not at all sounding pleased the aCEO explained the situation as best he could. =/\= It's something to do with the power transfer. The HATHOR's system were pilled one on top of another to make room, and because of that there seems to be a surge when the ship it’s a certain speed. We are in the middle of trying to figure out exactly where this is happening, but in the meantime I would suggest not going higher than warp 2. =/\=

Sighing at the news, which considering everything else had not been as bad as it could have been, the HATHOR's CO reminded herself about the purpose of this mission and that this was exactly what they were in the midst of doing. Stepping back onto the bridge, the CSciO/XO nodded to the woman sitting in the central chair, relaying without words that the CEO had been dismissed from Sickbay and was on his way back to Main engineering.

Acknowledging the message given by the Shillian with a nod of her own, the Romulan/Terran hybrid returned to her discussion with the HATHOR's aCEO. "Lt. Fairborn is on his way back, I am sure that the two of you will get this fixed promptly. In the meantime we will keep the HATHOR to warp 2 until further notice."

Sounding troubled by something that the bridge staff could not be aware of, the aCEO ended the communication abruptly with a, =/\= Very well, engineering out. =/\= Wanting to know what had been on David's mind, the Romulan/Terran hybrid fought the urge to get down to the ship's Main Engineering level knowing that her presence there would only hinder the repairs and possibly make the aCEO appear in unfavorable light to his unofficial observer. "Helm, resume course for the KARRABY CLUSTER, warp 2."

Appearing more than happy to be back on course, even if at a reduced speed, the Hirogen quickly complied with the order, "Warp 2, aye!"
