Stardate: 60331.2030
Setting: USS ANUBIS, Corridor

The young woman wandered the narrow hallways of the HATHOR, the pride of her engineering prowess evident on her features and in her walk, gradually becoming concerned by the complete absence of any other officers around.

"On a ship this size it would be hard for *everyone* to hide at the same time." The redheaded woman noted to herself suddenly feeling an overpowering need to make certain that her daughter had been where she had thought her to be. When Sabrina turned to see if Talia had still be following, the ANUBIS' CO was surprised to see the child armed with what appeared to be a Romulan disruptor.

The young child smiled innocently at her mother as she held the pale emerald coloured weapon in both hands. As strange as the sight of a little girl holding such a destructive device might have been to most, the redheaded woman found it almost endearing once again showing to the universe in general that Talia had truly been her biological mother's child.

"That is a very dangerous weapon… was it a gift from Enaii?" Sabrina inquired in a gentle voice as she kneeled in front of her adoptive child.

Talia happily nodded the answer and proudly showed to the redheaded woman that the disrupter had been modified to fire the equivalent of a phaser beam set on stun. Obviously the former ILO of the ANUBIS had wanted to teach her daughter the nuances of handling such a weapon without risking the lives of anyone on the ship… a gesture that Rikar had been most grateful for. That said though the young woman still found some concern in having noticed that the weapon had been set to its highest stun setting. Although unable to kill someone, the power setting had been still more than sufficient to cause a high degree of discomfort which could actually lead to internal physical injuries.

"Talia… I am glad to see that you want to protect me… but maybe you should reduce the power setting… just a little." As a former CMO, the young woman had not wished to give any unnecessary work to Doctor Summers, and Sabrina had also hope to confirm that the device in her daughter's hands could not be set any higher than it had already been. Enaii had never been the sort of person to do *anything* half through and she knew the ILO to always plan for multiple contingencies even when dealing with the most benign of events.

The child hesitated for a brief moment, unsure as to wanting to let her guard down while her adoptive mother inspected her weapon. Either because of some natural instinct or because of the training that she had been made to go through even at a very young age, Talia felt that there had been something wrong with the HATHOR. Finally realising that she had been about to refuse a request made by her second mother, the child dressed in the colours of an Intel Officer prepared to hand the weapon over but stopped at the last minute, aiming the device at what appeared to be the young woman's head.

Taken completely by surprise, Sabrina lost her balance and promptly fell backwards in a very un-lady like manner finding herself at a total loss to explain why Talia had aimed the weapon as she had and *fired*.

During the next few heartbeats, the young woman came to realise that Talia had not been aiming at her but rather at something or someone who had been standing behind her. Fearing for the wellbeing of whoever her daughter had fired upon, the redheaded woman quickly turned her head placing the ANUBIS' CEO at the top of the list of people her daughter would have wanted to use for target practice.

Instead of the HATHOR's aCEO though, Rikar was shocked to see what appeared to be a Breen lying on his back in the middle of the corridor, apparently having succumbed to the powerful energy blast that the child had unleashed on him.

Because the redheaded woman could overcome her state of shock, Talia rushed past her adoptive move and leaped onto the chest of the downed Breen, pointing her modified disruptor at his head.

"How many you are?" The child demanded pounding her foot into the Breen's chest plate as she conducted the interrogation while standing on him. Because of the intensity of the stun setting that he had been shot with the Marine within the Breen armour failed to reply and required several more attempts from the demanding young child before any sort of reply was heard.

Rikar would have intervened several minutes ago had she not been spellbound by the sight of her daughter in such a commanding position over a member of a race which had been more than once described as 'highly dangerous'.

When the Breen started moving under the feet that were pinning him down though, the young woman's amazement quickly turned into fear for the safety of her child despite Talia still having her weapon trained on the enemy soldier.

"How many you are?" Talia repeated, not giving any indication what so ever that she had feared for her own safety despite the increased mobility of the Breen soldier.

"Get off of me!" The Breen exclaimed with a great level of difficulty, barely managing to swing his arm enough to knock the child to the side. Up until then the young woman had been watching in a mixture of awe and concern, but the moment the Breen has swat at Talia, Rikar's motherly instinct kicked into full overdrive sending the redheaded woman onto her feet and in close proximity of the still heavily dazed Breen.

"DO… NOT… TOUCH… HER!" The young woman ordered with a rage as she gave the helm of the Breen EV suit a kick worthy of the most famous football field goal kicker of the 20th century.

"OUCH!" Came the weak but very human voice of a woman followed by the echoing of the helm as it impacted against the far wall and floor of the corridor.

"Copohal Yan!" The little girl said surprised to see head of the Marine Communications Specialist atop of the Breen armour.

"Corporal Yang? What is this all about? And what the heck are you doing in a Breen uniform?" Rikar demanded hiding the fact that she suddenly felt extremely guilty for having kicked the protective headgear as hard as she had.

"This was meant to be a surprise training exercise for the crew… which brings me to *my* question… what is *she* doing with a disruptor?" The Marine Officer replied and countered with, shooting an unpleasant glare at the little girl who appeared unimpressed.

"Scoring higher than both of us it seems." The ANUBIS' CO chuckled as she placed her hands on her hips and wondered as to just how far this unannounced test of the crew had gone and if this had been Pravat's idea of that of the HATHOR's CO.
