"Yes, But Does It Come In A Bigger Format?"

Setting: USS HATHOR, Sickbay
Stardate: 60331.2045

With sore knees the three women came out of the air duct back into Sickbay. After having spent a few minutes in the cramps pipes, Lea had swore to herself never again to complain about the size of the HATHOR's Sickbay.

"I hope that you are not planning on us going back into that air duct," Lea said. As the ship's CMO Lea could already tell that she would require some major physiotherapy. The pain in her lower back had been atrocious and Lea would have to spend several hours in therapy. A smile formed on the lips of the CMO as an image of a particular therapy session came to mind.

"What are you grinning at?" Susan asked her friend after having returned with Liz from the back room. "Daydreaming where you? Maybe about how we are going to send each and every one of those Breen floating back home?" The Cns added, curious as to what her friend had been thinking at that very moment.

"I was thinking about just how much my back hurts," Lea replied. Maybe had the CMO's smile had not actually grown in size; Susan would not have dismissed the answer.

"Thinking about the pain or about a particular way to have it dealt with?" The Cns asked, suspecting that she knew Lea well enough to guess what the CMO had been dreaming of.

"RISA," Lea replied, her eyes rolling in her head. "With a cool drink in my hand, and a warm set of expert hands massaging my back."

"That's not fair," the Cns pouted. "You would keep him for yourself?" Lea added while faking having been hurt by her friend's words.

"I'm sure he has a brother that could take care of you," Lea said before starting to laugh. Seconds later Susan joined in, taking full advantage of this opportunity to let loose if even for only a few seconds.

Of course Liz, not having been part of this little trip through fantasy land scowled at both women. "With all due respect," the aCMO cut in with. "We do have an undetermined number of Breen to take care of."

"Well unless they let you get up close and personal," Lea said taking one of the hypo-sprays, "you won't get far. I doubt that they will let you walk up to them and spray them."

"Ok," Susan jumped in taking another hypo-spray from Ensign Halliwell's hands. "What is we found a more effective way of delivering this compound."

"Sounds like a good idea, but this is a Sickbay, not an armoury. What do you suggest we use?" The CMO said, opening her arms wide to display the limited selection at their disposal.

"Too bad replicators can't create weapons," Liz sighed eyeing the piece of equipment in question.

"If they did, we would have bigger problems to deal with," the CMO explained. Whatever new method of delivery they would invent would need to be made of whatever had been available to them in Sickbay. "We could always rig one of the pressure containment pods to rupture after a certain period of time," Lea suggested. The idea had been a good one, but the equipment mentioned by the CMO lacked in one particular aspect. Size.

Taking the small containment pod between her fingers, Liz grinned. "Yes, but does it come in a bigger format?"

"How about this?" Susan asked, presenting one of the half spherical containers used for holding certain liquids.

"We would need to seal two of those together and get the compound inside without letting it leak. Might be a little difficult but it would be able to be rolled into a room," Lea nodded.

"We could add a pressure detonator made of chemicals and a sealed test-tube. That would insure that the contraption is not left untouched by the Breen," Susan added. Although she was the ship's Cns is was easy to see that the woman had a devilish streak in her.

"It's going to take us a few minutes to put all that together, so let's get cracking!" Lea said sending everyone into action. If only David had been here, the job would have been easier and quicker. Not to mention a whole lot safer for everyone.
