Setting: USS HATHOR, Bridge

Uxtar and Derek arrived on the Bridge in response to the ExO's call. The tall man looked to be three seconds away from ripping his uniform off which made the HATHOR's FCO chuckle for a brief moment.

"With your permission?" The ExO asked of his CO, pointing to the Ready Room. Because of the HATHOR's size there had not been that many places where a group of officers could conduct any type of meetings. As far as Dawson had been concerned there had been only two such places on the ship; the Mess Hall and the CO's Ready Room, and the Mess Hall had not been his first choice for what they needed to cover.

"By all means Lieutenant," the hybrid replied with a nod sending the CEO/ExO on his way followed by the two officers he had called up to the bridge.

"Have a seat gentlemen," David said sounding suddenly completely comfortable with his new role. "There is a lot of things to do, so let's get cracking. How is the ship?"

"Piloting wise the HATHOR is as ready as she can be," Ens. Stromwind replied.

"Weapons and tactical systems are also fully operational and ready Sir," Uxtar replied, the Hirogen having seemingly fallen into the grove of his new role as Sec/Tac officer.

"Alright then, the next step is our approach of SURIAL III," the CEO/ExO said moving the meeting ahead as fast as possible so to give himself and the others time to finish up on whatever they needed to do.

"Being deep inside Cardassian controlled space," Uxtar said, "I strongly recommend that the HATHOR take the lead under cloak. If there is anything out there waiting for us, we will be able to warn the ANUBIS before it turns ugly."

"That is a logical plan," the Human/Vulcan hybrid continued, "plus being so much more maneuverable the HATHOR could easily avoid whatever little surprises we come across."

Dawson chuckled to himself. Being the HATHOR's second in command had made him look upon the situation with an entirely new perspective, one that he had rarely considered before today. "The little surprises are not what I am concerned about, it's the large ones. The HATHOR may be a sturdy little ship, but against two or more GALOR-Class destroyers we may be in for a rough ride."

"I doubt we will have to worry about that," the Hirogen Sec/Tac Officer pointed out with what passed as a smile for the Hunter. "The sensors will be able to pick up any patrols with ease and under cloak we will be able to avoid them and relay all tactical information back to the ANUBIS to insure that they also avoid contact with any Cardassian ships."

The FCO nodded his agreement and full support of what Uxtar had said. "With all due respect Sir, with the HATHOR's maneuverability and its cloaking device I could fly it within yards of any ship without them being the wiser."

The CEO/ExO laughed nervously before looking at the FCO with a stern expression. "I will take your word on that since I am sure that neither Cmdr. Serenna not myself will be in the mood to test that claim."

"Yes sir," Derek nodded seeing the comment made by Lt. Dawson as a reminder to stick to the plan and the orders that he would be receiving.

"Alright, back to work. We'll discuss the HATHOR's role once we reach SURIAL III at a later time, right now let's concentrate on getting there in one piece."

Uxtar and Derek rose from their seats and in unison replied, "Aye sir," before exiting the CO's Ready Room leaving the CEO/ExO alone with his thoughts for a few moments before he returned to the bridge given the Ready Room back to its rightful owner.
