Stardate: 60341.0815
Setting: USS ANUBIS, Bridge

The young woman had been very thankful for all that the Oltharian and his engineering team had done… thanks to them the ANUBIS had regained almost full sensor capabilities allowing them to bare witness to the drama that had befallen their escort, the USS HATHOR. Unfortunately the ship's weapon systems had still been well below par but fortune had apparently been on their side this time around.

"According to these readings the energy pulse sent out by the HATHOR was partially reflected back to them causing a ship-wide system failure… luckily though the probe itself seems to have also suffered the same fate. Long-range sensors are not picking up any power output from the device, but the HATHOR's primary power has been restored." The report made by the CSciO had allowed everyone on the bridge to breathe easier, drawing relief in the idea that the other ship had survived its encounter with the Imperian device.

"They got lucky… the probe impacted against their hull less than a second after they released the energy pulse," the Enaran Sec/Tac Officer huffed under his breath, the tactics used against the probe by the crew of the HATHOR having been very different than those that he would have endorsed. From what he had gathered of the Hirogen, Prav had not expected to see such a display which led the MCO to lay blame for what had happened onto someone else… namely the ship's current ExO.

"Luck is a good thing… and I am hoping that there is a lot more to go around because we are going to need as much as we can once we reach SURIAL III," the redheaded woman offered not hiding her pleasure and relief at the news that the HATHOR had suffered only a momentary setback.

"We receiving a hail from the HATHOR," the ANUBIS' aFCO announced, the artificial woman normally occupying the position not having returned to her post after her meeting with the CEO. Normally Rikar would have wanted for Annie to be on the bridge but given the personal importance of the work that she had been included in, the CO had thought it best to leave the Avatar to her new duties.

"On screen," the young woman instructed expecting to see the face of a much relieved hybrid or that of her First Officer.

[/\] Captain, we have a problem, [/\] the ANUBIS' former ExO stated without any hesitation, the abruptness of her announcement hinting to the severity of the situation.

"What's wrong? According to our sensors the HATHOR's power is being restored," the ANUBIS' CO wondered as she glanced over to her ExO who immediately nodded her head to confirm that this had been what their sensors had reported. The thought that their sensors might be taken false readings sent a chill down the young woman's spin as she saw her hopes of rescuing Enaii all of a sudden vanish into thin air… without the ANUBIS's sensors there would be no way of accomplishing this task.

[/\] It's not the ship… well… aside from our cloaking device still not being operational… it's Ens. Mei… she was badly hurt when the HATHOR was knocked around by the probe. According to Doctor Summers she needs a better equipped Sickbay to treat her injuries, [/\] the half Human, half Romulan informed not sounding entirely convinced of the claim made by her CMO.

"Helm, alter course to rendezvous with the HATHOR… bridge to Sickbay," the redheaded woman called out. As much as she had wanted to get to SURIAL III as fast as possible the young woman knew that the ANUBIS would be vulnerable once there and that the presence of the other ship had been essential.

=/\= Ens. Halliwell here, how can I be of assistance? =/\= The aCMO replied, the tone of her voice having come across as very friendly and nonchalant… making it seem as if the head of the ANUBIS' medical facility had not expected this call to be a job-related one.

"We are changing course to meet with the HATHOR… prepare to receive 1 casualty for immediate treatment. My guess is that Doctor Summers will also be beaming onboard," the CO explained as best as she could, the specification regarding the injuries suffered by the Cns not having yet been disclosed.

=/\= Understood… we will be ready, =/\= Ens. Halliwell promptly replied, her voice having instantly shifted to the more professional tone that the redheaded woman had expected to hear the first time around.

"Perfect… bridge to Main Engineering," Captain Rikar continued with, moving from one aspect of this new objective to the next.

=/\= Fairborn here Captain, =/\= the Oltharian replied without delay. No matter what the situation had been, the giant engineer had always come across as being perfectly calm and in control, something that the redheaded woman found she admired.

"We are changing course to intercept the HATHOR… they suffered some damage which seems to have disabled their cloaking device. They might have this problem fixed by the time we get there but just in case I want you to have an engineering team on stand-by to beam over should they require any assistance," the CO stated as she leaned back into her seat. One of the advantages they possessed had been their being able to remain unseen and undetected by either the Cardassians or the Imperians, and as long as the HATHOR's cloaking device had been malfunctioning that advantage had been *null and void*.

=/\= I will have a team ready to accompany me over, =/\= the Oltharian replied before closing the channel, his announcing that he would lead the team not at all surprising the young woman. Regardless of background there seemed to be several common threads within the ranks of the fleet's CEOs… one of which is being a *hands-on* type of person who preferred doing something themselves rather than delegate. As a ship's CEO such a trait could be easily accommodated, but in the case of David who also needed to tackle the duties of being an ExO, a task which by design required a large amount of delegation to be made.
