Setting: USS ANUBIS, Sickbay
Stardate: 60342.1130

Lea had not been told what this had all been about instead just being warned to standby for transport. All that the CMO knew was that this had been some sort of emergency based on the apparent urgency. No one had said anything and when Lea found herself in her former Sickbay she knew that something was wrong.

"It's Lt. Cmdr. Enaii," Elizabeth said as she greeted the HATHOR's CMO. "We got her back but she is not responding as she should. Everything points that she should be awake but she is not."

Lea glared at the aCMO. Had Sabrina figured that Lea would just have to wave some sort of magic wand to make it all better? Enaii had been in a state of disembodiment for *days*. Just the fact that they had been able to restore her full body had been nothing short of a miracle. That something had gone wrong should have been an expectation, not a surprise.

"All right," Lea sighed not entirely certain as to what she would do next. "Bring me up to date on Enaii's condition. If we are lucky we might find something that has been overlooked."

Nodding the aCMO led the CMO to the office where they would be able to review all of the data gathered on the ILO. Lea followed still unsure as to what she might be able to do above and beyond what Liz had already done. Whatever that might have been which the CMO figured had been pretty much everything.

Setting: USS ANUBIS, CMO's Office
Stardate: 60342.1300

Two and a half hours, three calls from the CO and one major headache later Lea and Liz had made no headway. The situation had been so frustrating that Susan had been summoned over to the ANUBIS to lend a hand. The Cns' task had not been to help in the medical diagnosis of the ILO, but to insure that madness would not claim the CMO and aCMO.

"I have no more clue as when we started," Lea said frustrated by their lack of progress. "Every bio-reading checks out perfectly. Enaii should be awake and dancing up a storm. At this point I am almost willing to admit that the problem is psychological instead of medical."

"Psychological?" Susan asked. "How do you figure?"

"According to our readings Lt. Cmdr. Enaii should be fully aware, yet she is not. Since there are no medical reasons for this, we can only conclude one thing," Liz explained.

"She doesn't want to wake up," Lea finished.

"Well that could be a problem," the Cns grumbled. Susan had been trained to help people who had not wanted to be helped, but at least they were awake. If she could not reach Enaii there had been nothing Susan could do to help.

"Well while you two try to figure a way out of this one I'll go check on our newest guest," Liz said as she got up from her chair.

"Newest guest?" Susan and Lea said in almost perfect unison.

"Apparently there was a Human woman onboard the Cardassian freighter," the aCMO replied. "According to the report of the security detail, she's a Starfleet Ensign."

"What was a Starfleet Ensign doing on a Cardassian freighter?" Susan gasped.

"I would be more interested in knowing how she managed to avoid the Imperians? From what I saw of that ship, there weren't a lot of places left to hide," Lea said forgetting about Enaii for a split second.

"I couldn't answer those questions, but I will make a point to ask her when I give her a medical exam," Liz continued.

"What field does the Ensign belong to?" Susan asked. Maybe the answer would help her figure out what a Starfleet Officer had been doing onboard a Cardassian freighter.

"You know," Liz grinned, "I never bothered to check that." Now curious the aCMO returned to her desk and called up a visual feed of Transporter Room 2. On the small screen the three women saw the handful of security offices and one blue coloured suit. Whoever this lost Ensign had been, she belonged to the medical field.

Before either Susan or Liz could say anything Lea jumped out of her seat and headed for the door. Surprised by the unexpected reaction, Susan followed her friend and grabbed hold of her arm. "Something wrong?" the Cns asked.

"Other than us having reached a dead-end with Enaii, no," Lea replied. "So it might prove useful for us to make use of this Ensign's knowledge. Whatever it may be. Who knows maybe she can give us another way to reach Enaii, one that none of us has thought of."

"I doubt Capt. Rikar will just let you bring her back here like that," Liz pointed out. "She was on a Cardassian ship and might be a spy of some sort."

"As senior Medical Officer I will take care of the examination," Lea said adding a devious grin. "As for getting her here, I suspect that Sabrina will agree to pretty much anything if it means a possible solution to Enaii's situation." With that Lea left Sickbay and made her way to Transporter Room 2 with her friend Susan not far behind.
