Setting: NEW ALEXANDRIA, Section E-2, Level 8, Robotics Workshop 4
Stardate: 60344.1545

After all that had happened Lea had needed a change of scenery. The overly emotional CMO had made a mess of things and keeping busy would insure that she did not think about it too much. The number one item on her *stay busy* list had been to check up on her new assistant, Ens. Hogg. Lea had been stunned beyond belief when the computer had reported Logan's location. What was it about engineers that seem to attract medical personnel like flies to a flame?

Lea walked into Robotics Workshop 4 and found three people standing around a work table, two of whom she recognised. Even if Lea had been blinded she would have been able to recognize the tallest of the three; Elan. At the size of the Oltharian, it had been impossible *not* to. The other person the CMO had identified had been her own assistant, Logan. Although she did not know who the third person was, the colour of his uniform had identified him as another engineer.

"Healer," Elan said, the sound of tiny footsteps having given away Lea's presence.

"Elan," Lea grinned, "what are you doing with my assistant?" Logan and Mattias immediately picked up on the CMO's joking tone. Unfortunately the Oltharian had not been so perceptive.

"Please accept my most sincere apologies Healer," Elan said as serious as could be. For a moment Lea thought that the giant would drop to his knees and beg for forgiveness. As interesting as the sight might have been the CMO did not wish the engineer to make such a spectacle of himself.

"Relax Elan," Lea said as she tried to avoid another *misunderstanding*. "I was kidding. Logan is a grown woman; she can take care of herself. Plus I know you well enough to know that you wouldn't harm a hair on her head. You are just not that type of person."

The Oltharian seemed only partially relieved as he glanced to the ANUBIS' new aCEO. "Healer, please permit me to introduce to you Ens. Mattias Norheim. Lt. Cmdr. Serenna has asked me to introduce him to the Federation's latest threat."

Elan moved aside and gave Lea a perfect view of the mechanical monster which lay on the work table. Just the sight of it had been enough to give the CMO the shivers. Logan did not seem overly impressed by the Imperian either, her first-hand experience with them having been a little too close for comfort.

"When Elan explained that he was bringing Mattias here to see the Imperian, I asked if I could tag along," Logan explained. There might have been another reason for Loagn's interest but at this point Lea didn't care. Part of the CMO wanted to run as fast away from the Imperian as her legs would carry her. The other part wanted to join Logan, Mattias and Elan in their investigation of the deadly robot. It was too bad that Susan had not also been here, the Cns could have studied the morbid fascination all of them seem to display over the droid. "Are you sure that thing is *dead*?" the CMO asked. The last thing Lea wanted was to suddenly see the machine come alive as they all stood around it.

"There is nothing to fear Healer," Elan replied with a reassuring smile. "The power core of the Imperian droid was removed well before it was brought here." The Oltharian pointed to the core in question which sat on another table, well out of reach.

Still apprehensive Lea forced herself to approach the work table and join Logan. The aCMO's interest seemed divided between the mechanical giant and the Oltharian. Maybe this had been Logan's way of dealing with being so close to the machine which had decimated the crew of the Cardassian freighter she had been on. Although she would not admit it openly, Lea almost wished that David had been there with her. At least that way she would have something to split her attention away from the nightmarish robot.
