Setting: USS ANUBIS, Bridge
Stardate: 61013.1900

Lea walked onto the Bridge and found it oddly silent. The absence of the CSciO had likely been a big contributor but it had not been the only factor. Everyone, including Sabrina, seemed lost in their own little world. Each person had likely been thinking about their mission or the how they had found themselves to be in the situation they were in.

The world of IRRAJ sounded like an interesting place to visit. Although the civilization had reached a higher level of technology many aspects of their every day lives had still been shrouded in antiquity. Machines able to fly through the air and even out into space were common, yet basic medical tools were something of a rarity. Susan had explained that each civilization pursues goals according to their priorities. The Vulcans had focussed on scientific research while the Klingon had been more interested in weapons development. In the end both civilization had made it to the stars but with very different tools and attitude.

Lea and Serenna exchanged a gentle nod and smile as the CMO moved deeper onto the bridge. There had been no reason for the CMO to be there but no one had seemed overly surprised by Lea's presence. Maybe everyone had expected her to drop in to see how David had been doing. Maybe the journey to IRRAJ had been so uneventful that everyone had been happy for something unexpected. Whatever the reason had been, Lea's arrival had caused no commotion amongst the bridge's staff.

As the CMO looked at the main view screen Lea saw the FCO's station and thought of Derek. The FCO and CSciO had left a while back to go ahead of the ANUBIS and perform a little advance reconnaissance. Because she knew Maya the CMO could just imagine how much *fun* Derek must have been having. Being alone and cooked up in a small ship like the DRAGONSEYE with Maya could only be a memorable experience.

"Too quiet for you?" the CO asked. The look in Sabrina's green eyes displayed a longing for action. Some might have misunderstood this to be a desire for combat, but Lea knew better. The CMO had kept tabs on the whereabouts of the ILO, or at least as best as she could, and had found that Enaii had not gone to her quarters. At times the ILO had simply vanished from the internal sensors but Lea strongly doubted that Enaii had *vanished* in order to be in their quarters.

"Quiet is nice," Lea replied with a grin. The CMO had not expected the answer to make Sabrina feel any better but she had to try something. According to Susan neither Enaii nor Sabrina had been overly talkative as of late. The CO had avoided the Cns and the ILO had just been her usual elusive self. All of that had only served to make the situation that much more difficult for them and the rest of the crew.

"Sometimes," Sabrina added with a sigh. Lea instantly had wanted to say more, to find something to help cheer the ANUBIS' CO but the CMO remained silent. Susan had often said that in times of uncertainty silence was the best tool. So Lea nodded and moved on back to the rear of the bridge where she met David's eyes once again.

The CEO smiled for a brief moment before he returned to his instruments. As short as the moment had been it had been more than enough for the CMO. The short glance had made her feel all fuzzy inside, an indication that it had been time for her to leave. Not because she had wanted to, but because it had been the *safe* thing to do. The freedoms granted within the boundaries of a holodeck were clearly absent from the bridge of the ANUBIS.

Without saying anything more Lea stepped off the bridge and onto the turbolift where she turned to watch the doors close behind her. Maybe this mission would turn out to be like her journey to the bridge; simple, quiet and without any notable events.
