DIVA Education Program (DEP)

We will help some promising students from the rural areas in India, who need some monetary help to sustain their studies. With our limited effort, we can help only a few, and the students to be helped will be selected on the basis of

• the stringency of their need

• their merit and willingness to prosper in life

• the willingness to help others [We will ask the students receiving our help to teach at least two people who lack the basic education in his/ her locality to read and to write]

 

              The selected students will be offered a monetary scholarship (DIVA Scholarship) if he/ she meets all the eligibility requirements. The scholarship will be in form of cash sent through the educational institution where the student is currently enrolled. The scholarship may be renewed after a period of six months depending on the following

• the progress of the student in his/ her studies

• proper utilization of the scholarship

• progress of the people being taught by the student in learning to read and write
