It seemed to the twins that many years had past since they had heard from any of their guardmates. The pair of sunset-speckled green dragons often insisted they had heard distant echoes of the bonds of their friends, but the girls didn't know if this was true or a means to placate them. "Either way, we must find them." Nin began, "The time has almost come for our reunion." Rue finished.
Indeed, upon arriving at the Deragonray, the sisters had made a plan. Once they bonded, they would leave in search of their guardmates the day their bonds became of age. The two dragons were adults at last, two powerful beasts that almost mirrored their riders personality. Mirachath was the loud, bawdy one, battle-hungry and blood-thirsty (though her wars had been limited to who got the best buck on the feeding grounds, or the warmest sunning place); while Almachath was the quiet, plotting one. She preferred to exploit weaknesses in her enemies rather than overwhelming them with brute force.
Each bonded pair complimented the other, and all four were seldom seen apart. Even the two flits and two myphs each had bonded seemed to not know to which they belonged. Nineveh's gold flit Sekkou and grey myph Zahali obeyed Rue's instructions as well as Rue's own silver flit Krizi and white myph Inken did to Nineveh's.
