| Tuesday 1st My host sister and me caught the train into the city to go and see the movies eCatch me if you canf. It was a good movie. We also looked around some of the shops and had a good time together. Wednesday 2nd Did some little things. Went to Rotary they got me to do a surprise speech in Japanese it went OK but only OK Thursday 3rd Today I went into Tokyo with my host mum little sister and brother. We first said goodbye to my host brother as he was off to university then we went shopping. The first shop we went into was a snoopy shop it was huge and only sold snoopy stuff my host mum brought me a snoopy pin to go on my blazer. After looking around some other shops we went to the Ueno Zoo. My host mum wanted to show me the giant panda but it wasnft there it was visiting Mexico. We decided to have a look around the Zoo anyway. It was good. The best bit was when a gorilla came up to the glass were I was standing and sat down right in front of me and looked up. We stood watching him for a while before getting squished up against the glass. We saw polar bears, a giant turtle, a huge crocodile and lots of other animals. We got home late after having tea at a lovely Japanese restaurant. Friday 4th Today didnft do much but my little host sister and me had fun together. Saturday 5th Today I caught the train to Honjo not far from were I live only one station. To spend the day with Ruji (exchange student from brazil) we took purikura together, looked around some of the shops. I went to her host house for a while we sat down and talked we have a lot in common since we arrived in Japan at almost the same time. It was a great day. Sunday 6th Cherry blossom viewing. Today I went to Kumagaya with my little host sister, Councilor and councilors family including Deonne. We had lunch under the cherry blossom trees with a big bunch of university student. After having lunch we played some ball games together. When we had finished we had a nice dinner before heading home. It was a lovely day. Monday 7th I have school tomorrow so I rested. I went shopping with my host mum and sister and studied some more Japanese. Tuesday 8th First day back at school. We had a ceremony to welcome the 1st year students (bit like Harry Potter) Then the classes changed around a bit. My class is almost the same as it was expect a few new students and a few missing. It was a short day of school so I got home early. Which was good. Wednesday 9th Today at school we started classes not real different from before. After school I had Kyudo (Japanese archery) it was great I am also going to start Japanese calligraphy soon. Kyudo was very interesting the Bows are really long about 2 m. I got home at 7:15 that will probably be the normal time for me getting home now. Sure is a long day of school but it keeps me busy. Thursday 10th Today at school nothing much happened. I had sport and we played tennis. I spent my time in class studding Japanese. Friday 11th Today at school they had a ceremony for all the school clubs. It was good they did short performances and we also watch a short video of the different clubs. Saturday 12th Today I watched Air Force one for the first time. I followed it ok even though it was in Japanese. Latter in the day I went to karaoke with my host mum and little host sister. My host mum just watched as me and my host sister sang together. Sunday 13th Went and got an Alien card to show that I am an alien in Japan. I also went to a really big rotary meeting. It was good to meet up with the exchange students again. Monday 14th Today school played tennis for sport again outside. The weather was really nice its starting to warm up now, it was good fun. After school I hanged out with my school friends for a while before going home. Tuesday 15th Today I had dance at school and I also have two lessons of Home economics on Tuesdayfs, but today we didnft do anything exiting. Wednesday 16th Today had science at school and we got to play with the microscopes. After school on the was home from the station my host grandfather showed me the temple not far from my host house were Wednesday next week there is a festival. Thursday 17th Today I had a full physical check up the whole school did it. Height, weight (didnft like finding out I have put on 4kg) eyes, ears, teeth even a chest X-Ray. It was an interesting experience since we donft do it in Australia. After school I went to a Japanese calligraphy place with my host mum and had a lesson, it was great. I am looking forward as starting it as a club for school. Friday 18th 3 months WOW. Today I had Art at school. It is a class of 13 girls and there all very nice. |
