| Sunday 18th 4 months WOW!!!!! Today I spent at home. Slept in watched a video with my Yuumi and then both Yuumi and Ayaka had a great time straightening my hair. Monday 19th At school today we had a practice ceremony for the schools something year anniversary. It wasnft too boring and it was only a short day of school so it was ok. When I got home I went on the net. Tuesday 20th Today they had a ceremony at my school for its 40th Anniversary. School started later so I got to sleep in a bit. It was ok but like a lot of kids I didnft see it all because I fell asleep. At the end there was a short performance by a band and some dances, which was good. Wednesday 21st Just a normal Wednesday except I had a Japanese lesson with Shannon instead of sitting in History, which I donft understand. Today I got my summer school uniform. After school Ruji, Dionne and I took Purikura together and went to a Brazilian bar were we had tea and sung karaoke. It was just one big room but we were the only people there so it was heaps of fun. We will have to go back there again. Thursday 22nd An ordinary day of school not much happened. After school Dionne, Ruji and I spent a little time together before going home. Once I got home I went to a Japanese calligraphy lesson, which was great. Friday 23rd School went fast because of art. I didn7t have club tonight because of tests next week so I got home early. Saturday 24th Today I had a rotary meeting a going away party for Dionne, Taylor, Ashley, Talita and all the outbound students including Ayaka. They all leave in about 2 months. They all did speeches in Japanese most of which I understood. It was great. Sunday 25th Today I played tennis with my host dad and Satoshi (host brother) It was great fun even though Ifm not real good at tennis. Monday 26th Back to school today was only a short day because of tests, which was good. I spent the day being taught Japanese by the assistant English teacher Shannon from New Zealand. He has been living in Japan 3 years so it is a great help. Tuesday 27th Another day of studding with Shannon, itfs really helping. After school Ruji and I went to Mr Donuts. Wednesday 28th Studding more Japanese. Thursday 29th And more. Friday 30th Another short day of school studied more Japanese and then went out for lunch. When I got home Satoshi (my host brother) taught me how to play shoji a Japanese game a bit like chess well some things are a little similar. Itfs quite a hard game but I sort of have the hang of it. Ifm not quite good enough to win against Satoshi yet. I did once but he had fewer pieces to start with. Today was a great day. Saturday 31st Today I went to Karaoke with my host mum and sisters it was great fun I can now actually sing Japanese songs. I love karaoke bars. |
