Last Day Of College: Friday 26th May 2006 After two years which had absolutely shot by so quickly, it was time to say goodbye to Woking College (and for those people like Jerome, Guy and Manish who went to Godalming College to say goodbye to Godalming - but we're not really interested in them!). Unfortunately, exams don't finish until the end of June, when we have a Woking College Leaver's Ball to "look forward to...", or if you're a lucky bastard (or very lazy and only do one or two subjects, or a drop-out) you don't have to worry about exams too much. Anyway, I have set up this special section to remember the last few hours at Woking College (unless your name is Charles Carey, Thomas Bowen, or possibly Thomas Salter, who are unfortunate enough to stay on another year... ha ha!). You will also have noticed the rather trim DJ Wittzy in the background, outside my Accounting lesson. I thought I'd just draw some unecessary attention to myself, thats all.... So, after making loads of new friends, digging much deeper into the world of Electronic Music and discovering a whole load of new songs and artists which I had never even heard of before I began at Woking College (such as the absolutely legendary Leftfield and Orbital), hosting two mega Raves, and becoming dubbed "The Hardcore Raver", DJ Wittzy would like to thank those of you who made going to Woking College a decent laugh. My personal highlight on the final day was not the "fun" (I use that term very loosely) lessons, not the piles and piles of free food provided for all the 2nd years, but getting my song played (which I had actually submitted as a bit of a joke because I didn't actually think they'd play it - but they managed to download it successfully, so well done guys). So, as my last day at college, I had to pick something which was appropriate for DJ Wittzy, "The Hardcore Raver". And the classic-big-mutha-fucker-of-a-badass-incredibly-hardcore-monster-of-a-bitch-of-a-belter-of-a-truly-marvellous old skool breakbeat/hardcore anthem I picked was the legendary, rather cheeky, Infiltrate 202 by Stafford's finest rave act, Altern 8. It was hilarious to see the confused looks on everyones faces as the unforgettable intro (with the Mancunian accent) "Yeh, check this next track out... Watch ya bass bins, I'm telling ya!" was followed by the sound of air-horns, building up into the beast of all rave anthems...! Then the keyboard riffs and harsh bass came along and, if anyone at Woking (other than myself) had any taste in music, it would have ripped the place up! But instead it was just me who started dancing around like I was on E's (!), but at least everyone knows what a proper old skool rave anthem sounds like. Not my favourite all-time electronic record if I'm honest, but an absolute classic piece of hardcore - never ever thought I'd hear something like that at College, ha ha! DJ Wittzy goes out in style!! Anyway, for those of you with no remote interest in UK hardcore from 1991 (and I believe there's quite a few - shame you don't know what you're missing), DJ Wittzy gives you all the chance to share your final day experiences on this page - please email me your pictures (and videos) so I can put silly captions on them. Remember, it's your memories who make this page, I just add the icing on the cake.. or the rave-related equivalent thingy... yeh.... |

Ah, our final maths lesson (well not my last one - I still had further maths after this... and maths tutorial, not that they could be dubbed "lessons" but still...). Good old Salmahn decided it would be fun to recall sweet memories from maths over the past year and a half. For those memories which you can't quite read because they've been slightly cut out of the photo, the best ones are "Cakes from Sue (our teacher)", "Dave's £180 haircut", "Dave's taste in music", "Pacman tournament", "Andy becomes president", "Mike's (our other teacher) 'Grrrrrrr!'", Tauseef arriving just as our lesson ended - he walked in the door as we were about to leave, the numerous 'brutal' attacks by Rosie on Salmahn (I should just emphasize the word BRUTAL), and some other stuff...

Group photo of our 'lovely' maths class. (From left to right): Tauseef, DJ Wittzy the hardcore raver, Salmahn, Masi, Mike, Dave, Rosie (and Usman who is part of our class but couldn't be bothered to show up - nothing too unusual there....)

Another one of the board. Being the "artistic" (but not that talented) person he is, David has drawn each member of the A2 Maths class and both of our teachers. Now because you have no idea who is who, the two pics at the top ('M' and 'S') are our teacbers Mike (a big West Ham fan :-) and Sue. The seven scribbles below are supposedly our class. From left to right we have: Mike, Tauseef, Salmahn, Masi, Usman, Rosie and (saving the best 'til last of course) DJ Wittzy. Although it appears David has missed himself out, I am led to believe that his picture is on the left of Mike (ie. out of the photo, which was a bit silly, unless the person who took the pic didn't want David in it! Bit harsh really if that's the case...)

Here we have Salmahn and on his left, Mike. Mike has just realised that he's been sporting that shocking haircut for the last year and a half, and cannot handle the embarrassment of it any more, whilst Sully is trying to look intelligent/nerdy, but really those glasses don't disguise the fact that he's one of the thickest in the class!

The Incredible Hunk - DJ Wittzy, looking in top form with his new limited edition "Old Skool" DJ headphones having one final Rave session during Maths. I must say I do have a very cheeky grin on my face, can't remember why now.... maybe it was just the sheer thrill and orgasmic feeling I get from doing Maths....???

Mike looking very thoughtful - "Hmmm... how can I get rid of this mullet on top of my head without spending a fortune?" Ha ha, I'm only joking Mike - you only have the third worst hair after David and Rosie. Meanwhile, DJ Wittzy spends a rare moment without his headphones on - its almost the equivalent of being naked for me...

A nice photo of me and Holly. If you're wondering why I'm looking ecstatic, it's not because Holly has wrapped her arms around me (and has pushed her breasts up against my chest - don't worry I'm only joking....), no it's because I had just heard my requested tune Infiltrate 202 pumping out across the canteen, and as usual when I hear a quality piece of electronic music (especially when it's upbeat and I'm high on sugar), I start going nuts and jumping around like an insane chimpanzee - the technical term for this (as you all know) is "RAVING". Again my eyes seemed to have turned out an evil red due to the flash of the camera, so I thought I'd turn them into lasers (again). Sorry Holly if you see this, I'd never really use the lasers in my eyes to singe your shoulder ;-) |
