String Quartet History
| The Dolmen String Quartet was
formed in 1996. The quartet combines the professional experience of
four musicians in the Mid West. Repertoire varies from classical to baroque, modern
to jazz and show music. We cover counties Limerick, Clare and Tipperary but on occassion
travel further afield. The musicians met while playing with The Limerick Baroque Players
and other ensembles in the Limerick area.The Dolmen String Quartet has had numerous high
profile engagements in venues such as Luttrelstown Castle, Adare Manor, Dromoland Castle,
and Muckross House. The Quartet has performed with the Irish Tenors - Anthony Kearns
and Ronan Tynan in Luttrelstown Castle. Our most recent concert was with The Cantare
Chamber Choir in St. Flannan's Chapel. Ennis. Corporate clients include Eircom, University
of Limerick, Aer Rianta, Genereal Electric Capital Aviation Services and The Fitzpatrick
