Pictures
My friend dominique had a page of pictures like this up and it made a lot of sense to me, so I'm copying it ;).
I went on a cruise to Alaska in July 2005. We danced, dressed up formal, and made new friends. We also saw neat Alaskan wonders: a glacier, sled dog puppies, and moose.
I'm becoming a rock star! Well, as much as any bassist can be :).
My brother Peter lives in Amsterdam, and in 2004 I visited him in Belgium.
I blew out the candles of my 30th birthday cake at bowling.
Don't miss out on the Fruits of Dominique's and my fashion (okay, and others, too)!
Bonus pictures :), fooling around with my camera phone in the Microsoft bathroom; a view of my room at night.
You also may not have met my young cousin Amelia yet. Here Amelia and I are sitting in the sunny grass, smiling up at Dominique, who is acting silly per usual. Here is a rare picture of three sets of Elshire sisters!
I attended a swanky event for my friend Leila. She is not pictured here, but I am, over, and over again.
I turned 29! Me at my party, and others.
Me in wings, D. in wings, me in ears, D with cars.
Me and Eileen at Dominique's birthday bowling. And again at Christmas with her pretty tree.
Me as the devil at the exhibit of skulls ... and me with this cool mechanical basketball game in the Mechanical Museum at the Cliff House in San Francisco.
Christmas 2002 Pictures!
The three fates: Harmony, Kim, and I. Playing pool, drinking, and determining the length and quality of existence for all humankind, as usual. Later, we are four fates!
History, history. Me in 4th grade, junior high, and as a senior in high school. As a congressman, and celebrating graduation from high school with my friend Jen and some young lothario.
My cousins and I posed after a good Wallingford Pizza experience. Cameron is my cousin by marriage to Amy: the two redheads are (l-r) Amy and Jenny. Amy and Cameron now have a baby daughter Quinn, shown here with my mother.
Ryan and me, partying down.
Nate, Andrea, and Jessica (left to right) helped me celebrate my 24th birthday in San Francisco near Ocean Beach. Nate's now in D.C. trying to take over the world, Andrea's teaching school and spinning at clubs in L.A., and Jessica? Well, last I knew she'd taken her Marilyn Monroe impersonation trick down to L.A. with a boyfriend to try her hand at the Hollywood big leagues. Haven't seen her in a motion picture yet, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Melissa did the society alcoholic writer thing with me in San Francisco. I think she's super-cute and super-interesting--look at that smile! Too bad I've lost her in all my travels...
I met Josh in San Francisco, where we periodically tore up the town and talked boys. Here I'm visiting him and his friend Jessica in San Diego. She's a taurus like me. He's a scorpio dragon.
I had an awesome 6 months in London right after college. My boss Anita was this crazy Irish woman--a taskmaster but loads of fun--and I had this big crush on her son John. He was really charming. I felt really special cuz I got to pull pints and I was the best board-artist.
Me with my brothers and sister. (That's Peter, Hank, Mary, me, left to right.) It's really uncommon for us all to be in the same place. And here's Hank smiling!
Even though I never get to ride them, I love horses!
Me in New York, me in New England, me in the badlands, me in Louisiana. Me, me, me, me, me, me, me. Aren't I beautiful? ;)
I like this picture I took of my friend Shane. He likes this one.
Only time I've ever 'done' Mardi Gras, even though I am (mostly) from Louisiana. I have no idea who those other people are. At Mardi Gras, I don't think you're supposed to.
Liz is one of the craziest, silliest people I know.
I've been friends with Celine since sophomore year in college, and it's just coincidence that I ended up in Seattle living near her, years after we graduated. Here, I'm just visiting, doing the local thang. Great rare shot of Celine's natural hair color.
Jen and I have been friends since the first day of high school. Here's a picture of her daughter, Gabrielle Juliet.
Pixie and me starting our roadtrip at my parents house in Louisiana. Isn't she the cutest?
Ika and I outside her dorm at Catholic U. No, seriously, that's a dorm.
John and Shontelle are pretty special to me. Here they are outside their apartment in Champagne/Urbana.
Toast, lots of it. There were about ten pictures taken with the toast at this party. Here's one I was in, with Ellen.
I visited my best friend Melanie in Salem, Mass on Halloween. She also writes poetry.
