Hammer became a champion at 22 months of age.  Hammer looked like his grandfather
1967 GV Ch. Lance of Fran-Jo ROM
while Hawkeye more resembled their sire
Ch. Eko-Lan's Paladen ROM.

From day one Hawkeye was something special.  He became a champion at 19 months of age.  Hawkeye's impressive side gait and total balance made him a favorite with a large number of judges and exhibitors.

Hammer was the perfect gentleman and would sit with dignity and pride,
giving one the impression he was "above it all".

He was a devoted member of the family!

Hawkeye was also known for his happy-go-lucky attitude.   He thought that everyone came to the house just to see him.  He immediately hunted for his ball and if he couldn't find it, in desperation he'd settle for a bone then insist you play tug-a-war!
