Dorwyn Cardigan Kennels was established in 1969 in Sydney and in 1976 we moved to a little village half way between Dubbo and Gilgandra in Central Western New South Wales. We are in the heart of the wheat belt and surrounded by farming and grazing land. The cardis adjust remarkably well to the extremes in climate but it does make it difficult for showing. Travelling several hundred kilometres to a show is the norm with us.

Why:
How could anyone not want a Cardi! I, like many other exhibitors bought my first cardi as a pet. His name was Berkhaven Border King and he was a lovely red colour. When I decided to breed he and a brindle bitch Tenbrook Mairwyn became the cornerstone of my kennels. Anne and Phil Oliver of Tenbrook Kennels were only too happy to help in this venture.
