HEAVENLY WRESTLING ASSOCIATION (HWA)
The Heavenly Wrestling Association (HWA) began in 1999 under the name Galactic Championship Wrestling (GCW), and is made up entirely of wrestlers I've created. Until recently, this promotion operated in "real time", because in 1999 (the year 2110 in "COTG time"), the United Federation of Stars and Planets (aka, the Federation) was about to shut down
wrestling, believing that it was breeding violence amongst planets. Rumors ran rampant that wars between some planets were actually begun due to feuds taking place between one world's stable of wrestlers and another world's stable in both the GWF and the now-defunct Colby Pelf Corporation (CPC). Therefore, the GCW stars travelled back in time to the "present day" and
re-started their promotion.
The promotion was re-named the Heavenly Wrestling Association in 2002, as my way of paying tribute to one of my favorite local indy promotions, the Heartland Wrestling Association (a link to their home page is provided in the links section). In fact, two of my self-created female wrestlers are based on two females who worked for the promotion, Tina Ambrose
(the inspiration for Aphrodi-Tina), who left the promotion in 2002, and Hellena Heavenly (the inspiration for Helena of Atrocia, and whose "ring name" inspired my re-naming of the promotion.)
In January of 2008, the decision was made nearly-unanimously by all of the current working members of the HWA to return to the present "COTG-time" and re-start the promotion, after numerous e-messages poured daily into the OWP offices, asking for the return of the indy promotion who "defied former President Cordanus and won". Here now are the results of
their fight cards, which ran from April 22, 2008 to September 10, 2008:
HWA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT
(April 22, 2008)
DARK MATCH: 211 pinned Marshall D'Lon with the ADW. (This match was not part of the HWA Heavyweight title tournament.)
ROUND ONE:
- Scott Creed defeated Victor E. by disqualification when Victor shoved the referee during a deathjump spot.
- Michael the Ark Angel pinned King Kobra with the COVENANT.
- Harvard Yale defeated Bayne by disqualification following a brawl outside the ring.
- Judge Jerry the Executioner pinned GTA with the VERDICT.
- The match between Lt. Fivoh and 187 was ruled a double disqualification following a brawl outside the ring.
- Warren Peace pinned Jack Hammer with the PEACE TREATY and earned a bye into the semi-final round.
- Ugly Coyote pinned 666 with the MESA MOON HOWL.
- Epsilon Beta defeated Armageddon by disqualification when Armageddon shoved the referee during a deathjump spot.
ROUND TWO:
- Michael the Ark Angel pinned Scott Creed with the COVENANT.
- Judge Jerry the Executioner pinned Harvard Yale with the VERDICT.
- Epsilon Beta pinned Ugly Coyote with the BETA MAX.
SEMI-FINAL ROUND:
- Michael the Ark Angel pinned Judge Jerry the Executioner with the COVENANT.
- The match between Warren Peace and Epsilon Beta was ruled a double disqualification following a brawl outside the ring. Because of this, the HWA championship committee was forced to award the HWA Heavyweight champion to Michael the Ark Angel by default.
HWA TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT
(May 7, 2008)
ROUND ONE
- Road-Rayge (Roadkill & Rayge) defeated the New Millennium Renegades ("Dangerous" Dan Sexton & "Renegade" Danny Redbow) when Roadkill pinned "Dangerous" Dan Sexton via DEVASTATION.
- The TNT Boyz (TNT Terry & TNT Tracey) defeated the Birds of Prey (Nighthawk & Black Hawk) when TNT Terry pinned Black Hawk via the IMPLOSION.
- The Destructive Forces (Hurricane & Volcano), Wall Street (E.Z. Come & E.Z. Go), and the Killer Whales (Willy & Orca) all received byes into the second round.
- Surf's Up! (Ray-Ban & Body Glove) defeated the Annihalators (Pthalos & Krogon) by disqualification when Krogon repeatedly rammed Ray-Ban's head into the security rail.
- The Samoan Vice Squad (Tika & S'Nunu defeated the Blue & the Gray (Sgt. Yankee Pride & Union Jack Rebel) when Tika pinned Union Jack Rebel with the SAMOAN SMASHER.
ROUND TWO:
Road-Rayge defeated the TNT Boyz by disqualification when TNT Tracey attcked Rayge from behind while attmpting to save TNT Terry from being pinned via FURIOUS ANGER.
The Destructive Forces defeated Wall Street when Hurricane pinned E.Z. Go with the CYCLONE SLAM.
The Killer Whales receive a bye into the semi-finals.
the Samoan Vice Squad defeated Surf's Up! when Tika pinned Body Glove via the SAMOAN SMASHER.
SEMI-FINAL ROUND:
Road-Rayge defeated the Destructive Forces when Roadkill pinned Volcano via DEVASTATION.
The Killer Whales defeated the Samoan Vice Squad by disqualification when S'Nunu repeatedly rammed Orca's head into the security rail.
TITAN DEATH MATCH FINALS: Road-Rayge defeated the Killer Whales to capture the HWA Tag Team titles when Roadkill pinned Willy via DEVASTATION.
HWA LADIES TITLE TOURNAMENT
(May 8, 2008)
ROUND ONE:
Ambrosia pinned Helena of Atrocia with the SNEDEKER SLAM.
Demiah the Devil's Daughter pinned Big Bertha Booty with the DEVIL'S SEED.
Halle Burton pinned Penelope Candace with ILLEGAL BRIEFS.
Val Kira pinned Colly Flower with VAL KIRA'S RIDE.
The "American Sweetheart" Mary Lou defeated Sugah and Anna Konda in a Triple Threat match when she pinned Anna Konda with the ALL-AROUND.
Spyce defeated Lucy Kannin by disqualification when Lucy repeatedly rammed Spyce's head into the security rail.
Justine Nuff pinned Aphrodi-Tina with a standing dropkick.
ROUND TWO:
Ambrosia pinned Demiah the Devil's Daughter when Demiah missed a deathjump cross body block.
Val Kira defeated Halle Burton by disqualification when Halle was caught trying to hit Val with ILLEGAL BRIEFS.

TITAN DEATH MATCH FINALS: Spyce capture the HWA Ladies title from Val Kira when she pinned the Norwegian warrior with MUY CALIENTE.

(August 9, 2008)
OPENING MATCHES:
- Lucy Kannin pinned the "American Sweetheart" Mary Lou via LIGHT THE FUSE.
- Bayne defeated Jack Hammer by disqualification when Jack repeatedly whipped Bayne into the security rails.
- The Samoan Vice Squad defeated the Blue & The Gray when Tika pinned Sgt. Yankee Pride with the SAMOAN SMASHER.
- The Destructive Forces defeated the Killer Whales when Volcano pinned Willy with the ERUPTION.
- Colly Flower pinned Halle Burton with a German Shepard suplex. After the match, she repeatedly used her DOG'S DAY finisher on Halle until the HWA officials forced her to break off her attack. Halle will be injured for 7 cards.
- 187 pinned Judge Jerry the Executioner with a piledriver. Afterwards, he used his HOMICIDE finisher on Jerry a total of 5 times before HWA officials could get the attack stopped. Judge Jerry will be injured for 11 cards. HWA Commissioner Thomas Nixon suspended 187 for 7 cards.
MAIN EVENT--HWA TITLE MATCH: Armageddon captured the HWA title when he pinned Michael the Ark Angel with a spinebuster.

(September 10, 2008)
OPENING MATCHES:
- Wall Streed defeated the Birds of Prey by disqualification when Night Hawk was caught hitting E.Z. Come with a loaded knee drop.
- Demiah the Devil's Daughter pinned Pearl E. Gates with the DEVIL'S SEED.
- Victor E. pinned Scott Creed with the VICTOR E. PRESS.
- Ugly Coyote defeated King Kobra by disqualification when King Kobra repeatedly rammed Ugly Coyote's head into the security rails.
- HWA LADIES TITLE MATCH: Ambrosia captured the HWA Ladies title when she pinned Spyce with the SNEDEKER SLAM.
- HWA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The New Millennium Renegades captured the HWA Tag Team titles from Road-Rayge when "Renegade" Danny Redbow made Rayge tap out to an ankle lock.
MAIN EVENT--HWA TITLE RE-MATCH: The match between Armageddon and Michael the Ark Angel was ruled a double disqualification following a brawl outside the ring. A "Last Chance" Titan Death match will be scheduled on the next card for the title between these two wrestlers. Michael must win the title back or wait 2 months to make another challenge.
