Basic Requirement: The basic requirement for our membership is very simple, but also not that easy.
You must have the basic morality of a human (this is no joke), observe the five basic precepts for the lay-persons, must do some basic readings regarding Buddhism, and when you have time, do additional reading into other religions, and have a regular time for your praying and meditation.
Have an open mind. Do more reading to open your knowledge of science, sociology and the world.
Contribute to your favorite / local charity when possible and capable (Look for the one that do have low overhead cost, and actual deliver good services to the community. )
Help others when possible and capable. Nothing helps to bolster your determination better than your kindness.
Do not engage in radical behaviors. Always keeps a calm and clear mind.
Do not jump into hasty conclusion about anything at all.
Do have time for yourself to think, and when possible contribute / exchange your thoughts with others. (Must at all time understand and know that your thoughts and your understanding are from your own perspective and environment)
Must be a vegetarian for at least 6 days per month. Preferred the 1st, the 8th, the 14th, the 15th, the 23rd, and the 28th. (moon calendar or sun calendar does not matter)
Must vow to become a Buddha and follow the Bodhisattva paths. Must take the happiness and the salvation of all sentient beings as the first and foremost objective of your life.
Other requirements:
Must continue to advance forward in your life and your dharma progress and never let down of your guards and surrender to your senses and desire. Must learn to forgive and forget. Must treat your love ones and your adversary with love, caring, and respect. At all time, dwell in your shortcomings and forgive others. This will lead to the calm and blissful mind. With a clear mind, you can help others.
Increase your vegetarian dietary date from such to as much as you can handle. The goal is to become a vegetarian before you leave this world.
