Darkwing Stories

"The 'Dead Duck' Trilogy"

My very first completed Darkwing Duck story!  Hop on over to The Toon Obsession (thanks, Robin!) and take a gander at "The 'Dead Duck' Trilogy", written by yours truly, Draca!  :)  "Dead Duck" was one of the greatest Darkwing Duck episodes ever and inspired in me this set of two possible add-ins to the episode itself . . . and a very personal follow-up to what could have happened at the end.  This story says a lot about who I am, and I hope anyone who reads it will try to see the deeper meaning I'm going for. Dedicated in loving memory of my father.

Part One

Part Two

Part Three

"Sheer Surprise"

Rated PG-13 for overall weirdness (and some other stuff) . . . If you'd like to see a story that is a bit evil and quite daring (I still can't believe I wrote it!), then "Sheer Surprise" is for you. At long last, it's Darkwing and Morgana's Honeymoon night . . . and Darkwing is in for quite a----well, a surprise!  A fun what-if . . . written in honor of Halloween.

"Tower By The Bay"

My first Darkwing poem!  Or song parody, actually. Enjoy my Gosalyn/Cosette-ish version of "Castle On A Cloud". Especially dedicated to any Darkwing Duck fan who "lost their way" to St. Canard and has managed to return----or at least is still trying.

"You May Be Right"

Negaduck and Darkwing are complete opposites of each other . . . aren't they?  Or is it possible that they may have just one thing in common?  Telling the story in his own words, :)  Darkwing finds out that maybe there is something more to his archenemy----though he finds it almost too late. This story, the first Darkwing fan fiction that I ever worked on, comes from my personal belief that there is something sacred in each of us. At least I hope to think so.

"The Cantaloupe Kid"

Heh-heh-heh . . . This actually happened to _me_, and is a factual account----but it becomes a Darkwing story thanks to some fabulous artwork done by Electra (THANK YOU again!!!). Enjoy the tale. College can be a . . . learning experience for everyone . . . Oh, this is at my Darkwing Artwork page too!  The picture is that cooella. ;-)

"Only A Butterfly"

Thirty years have passed and Darkwing is sure that he has dealt with it all. This one surprising blow, appearing in the most unexpected place, reminds him that even superheroes are, sometimes, powerless. But *can* he accept the inevitable----and finally accept that sometimes, the best thing you can do is simply be there for someone you love?  This is again narrated in first person; because this story deals with one of my own hardest personal issues----having to watch someone go through pain and the only thing you can do is love them. But sometimes, that burst of hope is all they would even ask for. It took me a long time to realize it. For Darkwing----will it come too late?

"Ducks Are Watching Over Me"

Has to be the weirdest thing I've ever written. Even weirder than Part Three of my Dead Duck Trilogy, if such a thing can be imagined. :)  Combining some childhood memories and a small bit of magic that took place for me----not to mention what I know about sibling rivalry----this story was born. Contrary to title, there will also be a parrot and a dragon along to help, but this is my guys' story and they all shine. Enjoy this piece; it's very close to my heart. Therapy writing is good for me. :)  Oh yeah, this story will be at the Mighty Ducks Stories page, too. :)

An Ode to Darkwing Duck

This is a great piece done by the Lady Maureyn (also known as Penybright)----a Darkwing sonnet, no less. She does great writings and I hope you enjoy her fantastic poem. Darkwing would approve. ^_^
