Mighty Ducks Stories
NEW!!! Updated April 27, 2001!! My first completed Alternate fic, "Please Don't Let The Fire Die"! Go read it . . . please? ^_^
Again, currently not much here. But I got ideas. ^_^ And as soon as I've had time to finish writing 'em, they'll be up. Please be patient----the profs are trying to kill us with work right now *g*, but weekends are for fun and writing and I intend to do both. So hang on and bear with me here! ;-)

"Wear Your Sword" Time-Line Tales
All the stories here are along the same time-line; starting with my novella and continuing with any future, "this-really-happened-in-my-mind" stories. :) I love Duke and I know I'm going to have fun with this. I hope you do, too! ;-) Oh----after the novel, all the stories are listed in the order that they occured, not necessarily in the order I write 'em.
Wear Your Sword On Your Sleeve
This one should be fun. I've got plans for this one (always a dangerous thing with me----sorry ^_^ ). I have very definite ideas about redemption stories, and my thoughts on Duke L'Orange's past come from those and the few subtle hints given to us throughout the episodes. This (hopefully one day) novel is my own theory on how Duke L'Orange came into existence. Starting thirty-five years before the show with a stunning loss, the story begins as Duke abandons an old Life and begins anew. Turning towards his own innate skills, he becomes the greatest thief of Puckworld, and his growing reputation leads to the creation of his "mob" of organized thieves, The Brotherhood Of The Blade. His great career as a professional cat-burglar lands him friends and foe alike, with betrayal and chancing never too far around the bend. Still trying to weave a balance in his Life, an unexpected catastrophe to his home interrupts everything he's known and leaves him to make a choice about where he truly stands.
The title get's changed frequently, but I think this is the one I want. I think it's what I'm tryin' ta' say with this tale. :) It's an interestin' story as ta' how I came up with this one, and what exactly it means ta' me (if ya like Draca-rants, t'at is)----so if you really care, check out the Final Note t'at'll be at the end of the story for further details. This one here is my Summer project, and will be started soon (or rather, has been started; it will be UP soon), so don't dispare! *g.
I hope you like this story! :) I'll get up the chapters as I can . . . again, it all depends on how many Psych chapters I have due to read the next day . . .
PRE-"WEAR YOUR SWORD":
"Summer Day"
A snipet of Duke's childhood . . . more to come as I finally get a handle on the plot ^_^ . . . They'll probably be a better title there, too. ;-)
========
POST-"WEAR YOUR SWORD":
"Truly Home"
Duke isn't the only one with a secret. Is there any way, without revealing his own, that he can help Tanya understand that she is never really alone with her burden?
"Heavens's Last Attempt"
To finally find peace. This one's to Voodoo Doll, for putting up with my MD ramblings and for sending me the faboo song that inspired me in the first place. Thanks so much!

Alternate Endings/What-If Stories
~~~~Why are these stories alternates and AU fics? Click here for my explanation (when I get it up, at least. *g*)~~~~
A personal statement here. Kind of my way of saying that secrets are Life's greatest burden----and betrayal Life's greatest sin.
An angst piece in some respects; at least, if you take a gander at the accompanying picture it will seem that way. (Check it out on my Mighty Ducks Artwork page ^_^ ) Wildwing's and Duke's friendship has survived many tests----doubt, anger, confusion. Will betrayal be the final end for them? In more ways than one . . . This story ties into something that will appear in "Wear Your Sword On Your Sleeve" but is not a real part of my own mental MD time-line. This secret of Duke's is something that I don't think Wildwing will ever find out. This is merely my own idea of what could happen if he did. But this is purely a what-if tale, albeit a long what-if tale; and more than anything, I am Wildwing in this story, trying to figure out----"Why?"
UPDATE: It's done! It's done! I have gone through two re-writes, three lost sections of the story being eaten by my computer, plot holes, wrong directions, and more revising then I ever thought possible. For Ducks' sake, read this thing! :) E-mail me at duck_writer@charter.net and tell me what you think! :D
"Surrounded"
The Ducks have returned to Puckworld; and Duke finds out that his long-time enemy has taken over and built up the Brotherhood Of The Blade. With loyalties torn, will Duke help the rest of the team to put an end to the mob . . . or will he return to the group that was for so long his only family? Just what will he find makes for a real family? This one was inspired by the song by the same title from the "Man In The Iron Mask" soundtrack.
And A Few Extras . . .
"Ducks Are Watching Over Me"
Has to be the weirdest thing I've ever written. Even weirder than Part Three of my Dead Duck Trilogy, if such a thing can be imagined. :) Combining some childhood memories and a small bit of magic that took place for me----not to mention what I know about sibling rivalry----this story was born. Contrary to title, there will also be a parrot and a dragon along to help, but this is my guys' story and they all shine. Enjoy this piece; it's very close to my heart. Therapy writing is good for me. :) Oh yeah, this story will be at my Darkwing Stories page, too. :)
"Better Do It Right"
My first MD song parody! Yeah! *g* I heard this song by Smash Mouth on the new Grinch soundtrack, and after a few false starts with Negaduck I suddenly realized that I had FOUND Duke's song. With a few minor adjustments, that is. My version ties in, in several ways, with my ideas of Duke's past----and future. Enjoy. Oh, and listen to the song if you can find a copy, too . . . it's really cool. My whole family agrees, and they don't even like ducks as much as me . . . To see the original lyrics, click here and enjoy. :)
