Drakkins are a rare type of creature, a said descendant of larger Dragons, that is only found in and around the city of Rileikoul. Rileikoul is the home of the Drow, dark elves that are very prone to violence. They love sports that involve violence of some kind. Enter the Drakkins. Drakkins and Drows alike love the Arena Fights that the Drakkins compete in. The Drakkins are, of course, not forced to do this. They just like it - it is in their instinct to fight with each other.

Drakkins are purely subterranean predators, powerful and vicious with tough hide speckled in spikes, dagger-like claws, and many other bodily defenses and weapons. They are extremely sensitive to light of any kind, and prefer pitch black. Despite all of these frightening aspects, they manage to be beautiful in a deadly, dangerous way. They immediately caught Amaryllis's attention when the Lord of the Arena in Rileikoul decided to start offering babies for adoption. She was very excited when she learned that the first breeder to own any Drakkins, Dwahro, was offering a clutch for adoption. She prepared a generous offering in hopes of getting one of her own.

Amaryllis began to think more rationally, however, and realized that she, in all her goodness and kindness, could never care for a creature with such bloodlust. But she had a sister named Tytula who was, um, much more suited to care for the Drakkin that she was. Tytula loved dark, in every sense of the word, and she was more than willing to care for a creature that felt the same.

So it was that Tytula went to Rileikoul to speak to Dwahro, and present her offering for a Drakkin.
