A Fantasy Becomes a Reality...

Prologue

Long ago, the Eidolesc period took place all over the world of Yora. This period was a time of suffering and greed. Villages and towns were torn by the red flames of fire and the silence turned into the sounds of gunshots and cries for help. The color Red painted the skies of despair. These were the faults of the people who were filled with greed because of their desire of the most powerful magic in the universe, known as the Sepra.

With its power, a mere human can bring destruction upon an entire planet. For a long time the existence of the Sepra was nothing more than a legend told by the elderly. However, people began to believe that there truly is such a power from hearing rumors from the gifted that they had dreamt of an orb casting an intense white glow. In their dreams, they heard whispers of the word ‘Sepra’ in the dark background, and only the orb provided the light in the eternal darkness. When they came closer to the orb, the whispers became louder. Before they could touch the mysterious orb, the dream had ended.

This orb was known as the orb of light. The legend says that there are two orbs existing in the universe. One orb was the Sepra’s and the other was the Esepra’s. The Esepra orb was hidden in the world of Yora. The Sepra orb’s location was still unknown. When one has touched an orb, they would gain its type of magic.

The Esepra is the most common magic. It can be obtained through the orb of light, through studying in places called Quarters or if a person has it in their blood. Obtaining it through the orb is rarely done since not all people have discovered the Esepra orb of light. Both studying and having the magic in their blood are very common ways of inheriting the magic.

If a person wishes to obtain the Esepra through studying, they are required to choose which type of Esepra magic they would use. For example, if a person wishes to learn black magic, he or she would be a black mage and that person cannot use any other type of magic except for black magic from then on. A person would do a ritual in the Quarters in order to obtain their desired magic.

Having the Esepra magic in blood means a person cannot have any other type of magic but the only one that he or she was born with. If a child is born of white magic, he or she from then on can only use that kind of Esepra.

The Esepra consists of four kinds of magic:

Black magic- It is often known as the offensive magic. It is mostly used for harming opponents. Examples of black magic are fire, ice, thunder and water. Those capable of casting black magic are referred to as black mages.
White magic- It is often known as the defensive magic. It’s mostly use for healing purposes. Examples of white magic are cure, life and esuna. Those capable of casting white magic are referred to as white mages.
Blue magic- This type of magic is learned from monsters and enemies. Examples of blue magic are white wind, suicide bomb and flash. Those capable of casting blue magic are referred to as blue mages.
Red magic- This type of magic is composed of low leveled black magic and white magic. Examples of red magic are poison, silence and scan. Those capable of casting red magic are referred to as red mages.

During the Eidolesc period, people fought for their survival by using the Esepra’s four kinds of magic. The people who were in search of the Sepra were mostly the henchmen of those who ruled most of the towns and cities of the world of Yora. Others, who thought the Sepra was unimportant, defended themselves and their homes. But though they were all intent on defending their homes, only the people living in the town of Willinom were giving their complete effort in protecting their town.

Soldiers from distant lands attacked the town with their deadly weapons of war. Arrows were flying through the air, cannons were fired at houses that were left standing and a battle of swords ensued between them and the forces of Willinom. They wanted to acquire the Sepra.

“Charge!!” captain Ceresi commanded the soldiers of Willinom as she pointed her sword at the enemy. The two forces charged at each other raising their swords in the air. When they collided, a battle for survival arose. They exchanged words during the battle such as, “Tell us where the Sepra is!” and “Even if I did know, I would not say!” The forces of Willinom were badly injured, but after sometime, the enemy had been crushed.

“Victory!” Ceresi yelled and the people of Willinom celebrated. The forces of the Sepra were defeated, but their rejoicing did not last.

Willinom was ambushed by another wave of enemies. The forces of the town were surrounded and weakened gradually. Ceresi was dying from the wounds she received. As she defeated one more soldier, she took in her last breathe. A female soldier of Willinom, Kirtana, approached her lifeless body. “Captain...May you rest in peace.”

Kirtana fought against the enemies who were heading her way. Each of them was beaten by a single slash from her sword. Without knowing, their leader came behind her and pierced his sword through her back. “Your life has ended.”

Deseran Ziome was his name. He was the proud ruler of the kingdom of Seron. His people have fallen into the desire of the Sepra with darkness by his side. He conquered the continents, Kreema and Murmin, with his power. Some under his power, who denied the power of the Sepra, he tortured or vanquished.

“You won’t get away with this.” Kirtana murmured. “The Sepra would never be yours. One day, the Eidolesc period would end.” She fell to the ground motionless. She was still alive, but she could no longer battle.

Deseran walked away with his men and his bloody sword. The forces of Willinom were defeated, left with dead bodies and injured soldiers. Tears were then shed at that moment.

“Sarah, don’t die...” Cedre, a male soldier, said beside her with teary eyes. “Please stay...”

“Reann,” Lucia, a female soldier, said to her best friend who passed away at that very moment. “Our friendship will last, right? Even if you’re gone...”

“Hey, hold on, okay?” Lorraine told Kirtana. “Believe me; everything’s going to be alright.”

Kirtana gave her last smile and said, “Please take care of her...Goodbye, my friend.” Sadness was shown on the faces of the people of Willinom. Almost everyone had lost an important person in their life. Things were to change at that point.

“Please don’t...” Lorraine whispered to herself. She looked up into the red skies and bellowed, “No!!”

A beam of white light emerged from the center of the town. As it reached the red skies, the light illuminated the entire world. Those who desired the Sepra somehow died from the unknown light. Yora was in complete silence for a while as the people in the world could not believe their eyes. The golden sun appeared out of the fading red skies as the people left in the world celebrated for the Eidolesc period, which lasted five long years, ended that very day. It was a new beginning for the world of Yora.
