| Fae opens a gateway with her magic, and you step through. Fae follows you, and the gateway closes behind her. You look around, taking in your surroundings. You are standing in a large meadow bordered by a forest on all sides. The grass is thick and green. Dotting the grass are countless numbers of flowers, thistle, and other plants. A few butterflys flit from flower to flower. You can hear small birds cheeping. Looking around, you can see several small finiches gathering seeds, but nothing more. "This is where a few of the Ratties Deborah owns live." Ratties? You ask. Fae nods. "Yes, Ratties. Deborah's friend Crystiana Sapphire, the leader of Sapphire Dreams, adopts out the rat-like creatures at The Market. They are very popular! Though, thats not suprising, since they are so cute! Deborah's first rattie was Hazel, a gift from Crystiana. And her second was Laen, who she bought later. They are mates, and are expecting a litter very soon! We will be aloud to keep two of the babies. "The third Rattie she got is little InsolentMinx. We call her Minx for short. Deborah bought Minx from a litter sale. And the most recient arivle is Lan. Deborah got Lan in a trade." Fae giggles. "Minx and Lan seem to have taken a liking to one another. Who knows, maybe they will decide to become mates and have babies too!" You ask if you can see the Ratties. Fae nods, and the points behind you. You turn around to see four rats sitting in the grass near you. One is dark black with white hairs sprinkling the black, with a white black across the front of his muzzel that travles backwards between his ears before ending. A lilac colored one with hairs of white through it's fur sits close to the black The lilac color covers the front half of her body, then trails backwards over her back. The rest is white. Her tail and ears, unlike her mate, are pink. Sitting a bit aways from the other two is a mousy colored one. She has no white on her, except for white hairs that sprinkle the dark. Sitting next to the small female is a larger male. His fur is the color of steel. He too, has no white markings. "Hazel's color is silvered black, and his marking is a blaze. Laen is a silvered lilac, and her marking is hooded. Minx is silvered mink self, which means she has no markings. And Lan is a platinum self." You comment on how cute they are. "They are arn't they?" Fae agrees. Hazel looks up at you with bright, inteligent eyes. He cocks his head to the side, and picks a seed off of a near by flower, puts it in his mouth, and disapears. Laen follows him after a few seconds, to return to their burrow. Minx gazes at you with her bright black eyes, and Lan noses about in the grass. After a few moments they too dissapears into the tall grass, a few seeds with them. "Well, thanks for visiting them." You nod, and turn back... |
