| Fae raises her arms above her head slowly, closing her eyes for conecntration. After a few moments, she begins to mutter under her breath. The words are soft, and they slip over your ears. It is as if you are hearing them from under a veil of water. You think that if you could hear them, it wouldn't matter, becuase you could never understand them. As Fae chants, a small pin prick of light appears before her. With each word Fae speaks, the dot of light grows, and grows untill it becomes the size and shape of a large door. The elf's words become stronger and the glowing door way dissapears. You frown, but say nothing, for Fae is still chanting. The space where the light had been suddenly begins to waver. It trembles and shimmers as if a great heat was rising out of the ground causing marages. You gasp and take a step back when the shimmering air begins to melt. The air drips and oozes down to the ground where it dissapears. With each drop of air that melts, the background comes with it. It is as if Fae is melting a hole through reality itself. "Exactly." Fae says, turning to you. You let out a small gasp, not realizing she had finished. You hadn't realized that you had spoken aloud. Or had you... Through the now compleated gateway, you can see a whole new land. It is a meadow, much like the field you are standing in now, but you cannot see anymore than that. Fae steps though with confidence, and you follow, a little unshure of the glowing edges. You step in and shudder as a wave of chills run over your body. Once through, the chill stops, but your shivers do not. "Most humans shiver like that after coming through a gateway. You will be fine, just don't start to panic or anything. I don't feel like dealing with that right now." Fae says matter-of-factly. She looks at you and gives you a warm smile when your shivering stops. "Good, now, lets go." Go where? You ask. "To meet Raina. She will take you to the dragon's home, and show you around a little, explain stuff. Things like that." You nod, and fall into step behind Fae. |

| The meadow is very vast, but you can see the edges of a forest on all sides of the meadow. A few pretty flowers grow here and there, but the meadow is mostly covered by the tall waves grass. Fae leads you up to the center of the meadow. Lying on the ground is a very large, round, metal ring. The metal is black swirled with dark blue. Little pin pricks of light dance across it's surface. Just as you are about to ask Fae about the ring, it flares into life as a collum of light apppears in it. When the light fades, a fairy stands before you. She has pale blueish skin. Her hair is dark blue and black, the same color as her eyes. Her wings are black and blue, with little stars on them. Her dress matches her wings perfectly. The fairy looks at you, then at Fae. "Hello Fae! Brought a visitor?" Fae nods. "Great!" She turns to you and holds out her hand. "My name is Raina, a fairy from the Elfen Woods. And you are?" You give your name and shake the fairy's hand. "Nice to meet you!" She says cheerfully. "Well Fae, we better get going. I'll bring the human back after a bit. See ya!" Fae says goodbye, turns, and walks back twords the forest. Raina turns to you again. "Well, shall we get going?" You nod. "Great! Just step into the ring, and we will leave." You ask what the ring is, and where you are going. "Ah, worried huh? Well, the ring is made out of metal, and has a very powerful spell over it. It is kind of like the gateway Fae used to bring you hear, but without the shivery side effects. While Fae can use her gateways to go to anywhere she knows, this ring will take us only to one place." You ask what that one place is. |

| "Space, of course." Your jaw drops. You stare at the fairy, unable to say anything. She laughs merrly. "Oh do close your mouth, you look like a fish!" You snap your jaw shut, imbaresed. "Yes, we are going to space." She pauses and looks up thoughfully. "I think somewhere between the earth and the moon." She looks back at you. "Oh we have the best view ever! Well, come on, hurry! Lets get going!" You swallow your fear, and step into the ring beside Raina. She smiles at you reashuringly. The drifting stars on the ring begin to spin with purpose. They spin faster and faster untill they are just a blur. A collum of white light engulfs you, and you feel yourself being lifted upward... |
