Dreamspeakers
The power of the world always works in circles, and everything tries to be round.
Black Elk, Black Elk Speaks
Dreamspeakers conceive of the world as an entity in which each piece, from the smallest pebble to the largest whale, has a part.  The conglomerate of matter and life combine to create the unity most often referred to as Gaia or the All-Mother.  Their rituals often involve music and drumming.  The Dreamspeakers feel the rythmic pulsing of drums is most conductive to guiding the mind and body into a state in which true enlightenment may occur.  In such an enlightened state, everything from healing to contemplating the nature of the universe is easier to accomplish.
There is some debate about the true consciousness of Gaia, but all Dreamspeakers believe in the fundamental connection that each living being has to every other being, and that the dance of life is greater than the sum of its parts. The craft of the Dreamspeakers is perhaps the most ancient of all the Traditions.  Its roots are found deep in the primal essence of all living creatures, their lizard-brains, their souls.  Such power, though perhaps raw and primitive in comparison to others, has deep connections to all aspects of Reality.  It is the World Tree of the Traditions, and the Dreamspeakers are at home climbing in its branches and digging among its roots.
The Dreamspeakers believe the reality created by the Technomancers is the main cause of the diverse dichotomy between mind and body, science and nature.  In order to begin healing this rift in new Dreamspeakers, the Tradition requires a ritual death of the divided self and the subsequent rebirth of the whole.  This cleansing journey of death and rebirth also gives the young Dreamspeaker her first true contact with the primal pool of power made up of the dreams, the lives, the souls of all life.  Even Gaias body is part of this collective, her stones and dirt, water and air all belong to this pool.  From this great pool of Being the Dreamspeakers draw their power and their knowledge.  All living beings are connected to this pool, and their combined dreams, fears and knowledge come from and contribute to the pool.  The Dreamspeakers see it as both their right and responsibility to draw upon the power therein.
The power of the Dreamspeakers magick arises from their acknowledgement of the intricate connections between all living beings.  It is the ability to channel the energies of the world that brings magick.  Without this acknowledgement, Dreamspeakers feel their power would at best leave them, and at worst act as a cancer on Gaia, breaking up the connections that keep her whole.  As part of this acknowledgement, the tradition is made up of mages from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.  Witch doctors, pagans, shamans, and ecologists, among others, are all a part of this diverse Tradition.  Dreamspeakers acknowledge that different paths are necessary to represent the entirety of the worlds energies.  In the interweaving of minds viewing the world from different angles of perception, the truth of the whole can be seen.  With just one viewpoint, one sees only part of the truth.  Understanding part of the truth can be far more dangerous than understanding nothing of the truth at all.
