Thanks for dropping by. If this is your first visit you may be wondering what dreamcastv is all about.

First and foremost it's a site tailored to Dreamcast Internet Users. Simple as that. Except for a few things which set it apart from the crowd, so to speak. Firstly it was built entirely using a Sega Dreamcast console - that is to say without access to a PC. Secondly, the site aims to give users of DC Internet a totally fresh approach to going online. Mainly because thirdly, this is the only site in the World dedicated solely to Dreamcast Internet!

And that is exactly why dctv came about - because no such site existed. None whatsoever. Let alone a site actually built with a Dreamcast! The obvious question is "why not"? The DC has been growing in popularity since it's release back in 1998. Surely someone must have put together a non-gaming site by now, what with the console being modem-equipped and

all. Maybe it's down to the fact that 99% ofthe World's Web Surfing community has never used a DC to go online (nor probably ever will). Not a big surprise, considering that many of those PC users won't have even heard of Dreamcast. Could it be therefore that the number of DC owners is simply too small? It

seems unlikely. There are after all, millions of Dreamcast owners world wide - most of whom are of course 'net-ready' thanks to the aforementioned internal modem. So why is this site the first of it's kind and why do so few DC-Made Websites currently populate the 'net? The reason is simple: using a Dreamcast to surf the Internet is bloody hard work!
