Dream A Little Dream ...

04/18/02 - April is National Poetry Month! I like poetry any time of the year, but during April, I saturate myself in it. No, I probably don't understand it any better than you do. But, I do like the word play, the images, the feelings I receive. I find poetry pretty difficult to write. Oh, once in a while one will pop into my thoughts, but mostly they come as a feeling that inspires me. Then, I find myself laboring to create. I'm just going to let the poets take over this month.

And now, I'm taking a few days off. You know ... Places to go, people to see, things to do!
What Is Poetry?

A poem can be made
of common household ingredients
It fits on a single page
yet it can fill a world
and fits in the pocket of a heart
