A few years ago there was a site called the UCM where a bunch of comic artist gathered and help eachother learn art. However this site needed to expand and in it's place began the URD. Which used to be a site where you oculd find art tutorials. Evi and Soildfire were old UCM members. Kiki (Feena Flame) joined up in the first week or so that the new site was built and Izumi (Eiji's Pudding)and Katsuya in the next month. Inspired to create, design and write, Evi, and Izumi created studios. Black Rose and Outcast. Black Rose being home to Evi and Solidfire continuing work from the pervious site. Outcast, home to Izumi and Katsuya. Kiki being the social butterfly joined into both Black Rose and Outcast while trying to manage her sad group called Musical Arts. Eventually Evi had joined into Outcast, Soildfire had attemped at his own studio leaving Black Rose for a while and Musical Arts still accomplishing nothing but random fights about choirs. The URD/UCM ran from Janaury 2004- November 2004 and was closed due to absence of administration and attack of the n00bs. By this time Black Rose had become a studio of 5 with several comics on the fly but only one that actually was going anywhere. Outcast had 5 members and a couple very lovely completed story scripts and covers. But, there were very few artist and no comics were produced. Musical Arts had one main idea and several mini comics. But due to flakey members and constant music debates nothing really got done and only 3 members survived onwards. That fateful day the URD died, our three lovely ladies didn't want to loose the friendships they had made and were hopeing to countinue on in there work. So Kiki with alot of help from Evi set up the website Dreams in Lavender (DiL) as a tri-studio for the members of Black Rose, Outcast and Musical Arts. A rocky start it soon became like a second home to many of it's members. It was built as an atomoshpere where anyone could feel they belonged. several months after the first fourms was built DiL got hacked and had to move it's location. Now 4 months or so after our first birthday we move again toa new site host.
~*~What is the DiL?~*~
We are a tri-studio or Black Rose, Outcast and Musical Arts. It is run by the 3 lovely Goddess (the administrators) Evi, Kiki(Feena Flame) and Izumi (Eiji's Pudding). Basically ti is a small art community for artists, writters and even animators of all skill levels to hang out and learn from eachother while having fun at the same time.
~*~Why Dreams in Lavender?~*~
Simple, Kiki's favourite colour is lavender and all the main member are dreamers. Simply put, Kiki made a name and no one argued against her about it.
