After the castle dream I wove her this one.
She loved it just as much and again we had to step aside for her to write about it. These
are her words. In the beautiful countryside where my
castle lives there is also a "Valley of the Dragon's". It is a beautiful place,
it is where my dragon lives (Drago). In the valley behind the castle there is a beautiful
lake which called Mirror Lake. The surrounding mountains are blanketed with lush green
trees are reflected perfectly on the mirror surface of the lake. This is where all the
dragons of the land live. Many poachers have been trying to find where the dragons have
been living but they never could find the place. Drago transported 102 and I to the valley
with the lake. It was a smooth trip. Drago flies with great ease and gentleness. The
mountains and valley's look fresh, dense, and the greenest green I have ever seen. As we
flew over the lake we could see our reflection clearly. Even Drago's light green tummy and
all it's smooth scales were clear in the reflection. We glided to the waters edge and
landed softly on the pure white strip of beach. We got off Drago's back and he flew off
again and went into the middle of the lake with barely a ripple. We watched in amazement
as he went slowly into the water, hardly disrupting the surface at all. We waited and
pretty soon another, smaller dragon went into the lake at the same spot and the same slow
way. We could not take our eyes off this scene and pretty soon a pretty blue dragon came
out of the water in the same spot. Not even dripping. Amazing! Pretty soon Drago comes
back out and comes to where we are standing and tells us to get on his back because he was
going to take us to her place through the lake. Now she did not actually speak these words
but we can hear what she say's by looking into her giant green eyes. So we get on her back
and she circles up and over the lake. We were anxious to see where she lived but we were a
little nervous about going into the lake. Somehow we felt good about it knowing she would
never hurt us. As we descended into the lake we found out that the water really did not
feel like water at all, but is was soft and cool and we could breathe without a problem.
The water was clear as we went down. We could see many fish of all colors and sizes. The
plants growing from the bottom of the lake were beautifully green and gently flowing from
the tide. It was a wonderful scene. Eventually we came to a huge stone archway. As we
entered the light dimmed and we could see what looked like a cave coming up. The cave was
cool and we could see bright light ahead of us. Our dragon walked us through to the other
side of the cave, which opened up, into a lush hidden valley. It was huge and there was a
clear running brook winding through the pasture and into the hills below. There were
hundreds of dragons grazing in this valley. All colors and sizes. 3 tiny dragons came up
to us and snuggled up to Drago's legs. We knew these were her babies. They were more
reddish, brown then their mother greenness, But she told us they will look like her when
they grow up. We played with them and they like to play hard. Eventually Drago led us into
the forest to the right of the valley and as we entered the cool, shade we noticed the
trees grew very straight and tall. The leaves were high up top forming a
"ceiling". As we walked along a soft and narrow path we came upon a tight grove
of trees. It looked as if there was a house in the middle of this grove but it actually
looked as if the house was there for hundreds of years and the trees grew right up through
it. We waited as the babies and Drago entered through the double doors. Soon they came out
and motioned us into the house. As we walked through the doors we noticed that the trees
did grow right through the house. It looked like many support beams but actually it was
the trees. The walls of the house were red and warming. The floor was pitch black and
shiny. There was little furniture. A huge table with a gold goblet on it and a giant
candleholder. The hardened wax dripping down around the holder looked like it was the
product of thousands of candles melting over many years. If you looked at it a while you
could make out every color imaginable. At the time there was an orange candle burning and
there was the faint smell of oranges in the air. On the other side of the table there was
a huge chair, more like a throne. In it was a man who looked like he was a hundred years
old. He had the whitest hair I have ever seen and a longer, flowing, white beard. He wore
a beautiful greenish, blue silk robe, which flowed and draped around him like a shroud. He
wore a pointed hat in the same fabric as the robe. He spoke to us, welcoming us to Dragon
Valley. His voice was soft and friendly. Very trusting and gentle. We were thrilled to be
there. He said he has been watching us at the castle and talking to Drago about us and he
decided we could come to their world and not be threatening as the many poachers who
explored the land looking for this place. He asked us what we thought of the place and we
told him it was beautiful. He picked up his arm and we noticed he held a staff studded
with what looked like precious stones and gems. A lightly colored blue charge came from it
and the light traveled to the candle on the table. The color of the candle then turned to
the same blue color as the light from his staff. He asked 102 to come to him and he went.
They talked softly for a few minutes and then 102 came back to where I was standing. I
looked at him, expecting him to tell me what the Wizard said, but 102 said nothing. He
asked us if there was anything at all that we desired. We were to choose something and he
would give it to us as a gift with the promise that we would not tell anyone about their
world. We told him we had no intentions of telling anyone and he smiled and said he
already knew we wouldn't. We asked him to cure the world of all their woes. Cure every one
of disease, handicaps, abnormalities, and any ailment known to the human race. We asked
that there be no more hunger, war, no more anger or disputes over religion, race,
government, or countries. We asked him to make people able to do what they want and be
happy and free to enjoy the time they had on earth. He said that was a tall order and he
thought we would ask for something like that. He said he could only do good things for
people who deserved good things to happen. For people who had "paid their dues"
the hard way. He said our wish has been done for us and the rest of the world would have
to find their own "Valley". We thanked him and noticed we were not ticking any
more. We knew we would have no more mood swings. Would be happy and we would be together
doing whatever we wanted to do. We could live our lives the way we wanted. We would not
have any dire needs. All of our needs and desires would be fulfilled and we would be happy
for the rest of our lives together. We thanked the Wizard and Drago came up to us telling
us it was time to go. The Wizard said we could come back anytime and we said we would.
Drago led us out the same way we came in. We were sorry to go but we were excited to talk
to each other about it when we got back home to the castle. We mounted Drago's back and he
flew us back out of the "lake" and up from the valley, over the mountains to the
castle. We took one of Drago's babies with us and we all got off. Drago said we could keep
Baby Drago as a pet and she left. We knew she would not go far and we knew she trusted us
with her baby. We went inside the castle into the drawing room. There was a huge fire lit.
We sat down on the couch and 102 takes out a doll from behind his back. He said he knew I
never had a doll and he wanted me to finally have one. The wizard knew 102 had this idea
and he knew it would make me happy. The Wizard knows more then what he appears to know. I
was thrilled and 102 and I hugged and snuggled the rest of the day with my new doll,
Drago's baby, and a warm fire to look at while we talked and reminisced about our trip. |
