This is the gang all together in 1946. One of the few pictures and a lot of people have tried to get this away from me. This is my dad of course and my mom. My brother is older than I so you should be able to pick me out. I was 9 years old. |
The last picture of my dad before he passed away in 1961. I had called and told him that Dot and I and the son, Donnie, were on out way home from California. He went and bought the boxer puppy because all boys need a dog. The grandson was less than a year old. | ![]() |

The Geske brothers are pictured here in 1947. On the left is my Uncle Fritz, the oldest of the bothers. He passed away in the early 1950s. In the center is my Uncle Merle, the youngest of the three. He spent 30 plus years in the US Army and passed away in the mid 80s. My dad is on the right. My dad and Uncle Fritz were railroaders for the Elgin Joliet and Eastern Railroad. This picture was taken at a family reunion with an old Brownie Box camera. |
This picture was taken a few years ago. My mother is about 80 years old in this picture. It's hard to tell though because she has always had an difficult time remembering her birth date. | ![]() |

My brother, married with three grown children, is two years older than I am, so that makes him 64 now. He just retired from Lasalle Steel after working for them for about 40 years and lives in Gary, Indiana. |
I had a difficult time placing this picture. John is my step-father and has been married to my mother for many many years, longer than to my dad. He takes care of my mother now that she is suffering from problems of age. He cooks, cleans, does the shopping, drives her to the doctor, makes sure she takes her medications. Totally dedicated !!!! | ![]() |

Franics is my brother's wife. They have been married forever just like Dot and I. She is a wizard at crafts and sewing. Always busy with something. Keeping up with her three grown children also keeps her on her toes. |
