| November 10, 2001 Driven takes the PMI Pure Energy
Series Rookie Championship by fifteen points! All we had to do to clench the series was to
finish in front of Team Paranoia from OK. We did this by making the finals and finishing
fourth while Team Paranoia failed to make the cut. We would like to thank Richard
"Emmit" McCullough, Casey Weatherly, Allen "Indy" Martin, and Tom
Hadden for stepping up and helping us win this tournament in the absense of David and
Nikki. |
| September 22-24, 2001 We traveled to
Orlando, FL to participate in World Cup 2001. Playing one level up against novice teams
was a great test for the us. We defeated all of the novice teams we encountered but failed
to beat a few good Am A and B teams. This included prelim games against Naughty Dogs
Black, Static, and Aces High. We had a great time and learned a lot. Thanks to the NPPL
for a great event! |
| September 14, 2001 Killen, TX was the fifth event in the
PMI Pure Energy Series. We had a great day through finals and pretty much dominated all
but a few key games in finals. The tourney had a suspenseful end when we faced off with
Liquid Tacos for the win. They won the coin toss and put the sun in out eyes. They game
ended in a stalemate, but we needed to win to finish first. Congrats goes out to Liquid
Tacos for a strong showing and fot taking home a first place trophy. |
