Welcome to the Michael Jones Self-Glorification Page!
(it's appropriately titled, as any of you who truly know me will probably attest to)

I also feel that self-glorification is highly underrated, and I'm making my best attempt to give it a good name. Plus it makes for a catchy title, and I couldn't come up with anything else.

This is a really old picture of me... I hate cameras.  The long hair has since been abandoned. I realize the pose is cheesy as well, but I'm into cheese, so it's fitting.

Physical appearance

(the thing I try to avoid discussing, but people always ask, so I'll save myself the trouble of having to go through it all the time if I make a list here)
Height 5'3" (probably giving me credit… if you were my height, you'd round off numbers too)
Weight 125-135… depending on my apparel for the day
Hair I do still have some… and the color is mostly brown
Eyes Blue (which can only be seen in direct sunlight… my pupils are often dilated [not from drugs] and usually hide the iris)
Miscellaneous I'm pale and stay out of the sun… hence the fair complexion and occasional freckles.  Also, worth noting is that I like most animals... thought I'd have to say I'm more of a cat person... (seems natural, I live in Memphis, which is named after the ancient Egyptian city where they were so revered)

 

Favorite Color

Red - everyone tells me that's an odd choice, but I figure that's par for the course. Don't know why it's my favorite color… I just know that when you're a kid, someone always asks your favorite color… I chose red and continue to stick with it.

Musical Tastes

Some of my favorite artists are:

  • Don Henley/Eagles
  • Restless Heart (a rather obscure country band)
  • Alice in Chains
I'll listen to mostly anything… except rap… I can handle some country but very little. Mostly enjoy alternative and classic rock.
 

Favorite Movies

  • Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  • Gone With the Wind
I like all Kevin Smith Movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma) Sports - I'm a sports nut, and here are all my favorite teams

Basketball

Phoenix Suns (I know everyone is down on Penny Hardaway, but I've followed the guy's career closely, and tend to stay loyal on things like that. Maybe he used to deal drugs, has no heart or tolerance for pain… but hey… he's got talent and that's what counts.)
