4/25/02 STEVE LOBEL IS BACK WITH BONE THUGS N HARMONY, if you didn't already know. Bone was on Rap Cities The Basement last week and Bone will be on the New issue of XXL magazine. Also, Steve Lobel will be on the cover along with Ludacris on an upcoming music magazine called GreenRoom Magazine. I will have more info on that as I get it. Welcome back Steve!
4/24/02 Be sure to pick up the Outlawz DVD, WorldWide, that drops tuesday April 30th. More Outlaws news, EDI & Kastro will be dropping a duo album entitled Blood Brothers, and it's release date is May 7th. Another Outlaws, Young Nobel is getting ready to release his solo album entitled Nobel Justice and release date is set for May 14th. Young Nobel is yet to drop another album, a duo album with bay areas JT The Bigga Figga, the album is entitled Street Warz. Street Wars will not be sold in stores, yet (not sure if stores will get it), the only way you can get a copy of the Street Wars album will be to go to the Outlawz Website, www.outlawrecordz.com and if you order it online Young Nobel will sign your CD (limitied time only)! All the Outlawz albums are to be released under Outlaw Records, and the duo with Young Nobel & JT will be released under Outlaw Records/Get Low Records. Also, be on the look out for CAZ's album entitled Goin' Head Up album drops May 14th, and has a lot of hot track.
4/23/02 The Source magazine is getting ready to join into the world of Radio. New York currently has four hip-hop radio stations, and soon to come will be number five. This will be competition for NY's Hot 97 and Power 105. One of the main DJ's for the Source radio will be Tigger from Rap Cities The Basements. Tigger said that he ain't trying to compete with no one else, he's just gonna go in there and do his thing. He said the way he does the basement will be the same way he's gonna do it on the air. After the Source launches their radio station in NY they will start to open up more radio station across the nation. Next tuesday April 30th, be sure to pick up the new DVD from the OUTLAWZ entitlied WorldWide.
4/10/02 Def Jam Recording's has pulled all promotions, tours and videos from the Jay-Z and R. Kelly duo project entitled The Best of Both Worlds. The album was released March 19th and it sold 230,000 albums it's first week. For two platinum artist, these numbers are low. The blame for the low sales was blammed on R. Kelly for apparently having sex with a minor. I wonder how Jay-Z feels about this! Dr. Dre has signed a contract to do commericals for Coor's Beer. He's now one of their spokesman. After Dre's next album he stated that he no longer wants to continue rapping, however he's still going to produce them platinum hitz! I had mentioned this a while back about the Luniz, well their album is ready to drop. I had a chance to be with them when they recorded their album and the track that was choosen to be there single is Raiders, (name may change) however the song is startin' to be played here in the bay. Album is hot and has the work of Steve Lobel behind it, along with D-Lo.
4/9/02 Bone Thugs N Harmony are currently in New York with Steve Lobel handling their business before the release of their up coming album Thug Nation. DJ UNEEKS instrumental album is set to be released June 2002, don't send checks to MusicZone until then otherwise your payment will be returned. Go pick up 2pac's Thug Angel DVD. This dvd is unlike no other, it contains the deep side of 2pac that many of us had not seen, from interviews at age 17 until the time of his death. 3/26/02 If you havn't already go out and get the EAZY-E (R.I.P) album titled Impact Of A Legend. The CD includes 6 new songs. Big Caz is getting ready to do his thang, his new single will be N-Here followed by My Bloc. Caz will be in San Deigo Wednesday, Thursday-Friday he'll be in Las Vegas, and friday till saturday he'll be in the Bay Area, doin' his promo tour. For more details to where Caz will be hit me and I'll let you know. Also, for those who follow Thugline, Krayzie Bones label, be on the look-out for one of his group artist Young Dre. Young Dre already has an underground album titled Hated By Many off his label K3. Now he's signed to Thugline as a group member and is on a mission lookin' to get signed by a major label, a few are on the table with offers, such as from Arista, and Interscope. To catch a few of Young Dre's track go and see the Tupac movie Thug Angel. During the movie one of Young Dre's songs gets seven seconds of airplay and at the ending credits his song plays.
3/12/02 The Causal T's shot their first video over the weekend. The video has guest appereance of KOBO, and Furious. The video was shot in San Mateo's Seal Beach, Downtown, and also the video was shot at the LimeLight night club in Mountain View. The video will most likely been seen on MTV's Uncut! I spoke to DJ UNEEK yesterday and I'm sorry for the mix up, the Bone Instrumental album will be avaiable June 2002! If you need more info contact me. Causal T's, Outlawz, San Quinn, KOBO, Young Knyte, and many more to perform, tickets are only $20 and seating is limited so arrive early. Bone Thugs N Hamrony's new album Thug Nation is just about finished, the thugs are in Miami recording the album. Sean "Puffy" Combs aka P.Diddy, has put a restraining order on 112 not to go to surpream court. It turns out that the Bad Boy group 112 had got an offer to leave Bad Boy and sign with Russel Simmons label Def Jam Recordings. However, Puffy doesn't want to lose such a star act on his line up. 112 hasn't decided what to do as of right now, when I find out I'll let all y'all know!

If you havn't heard by now Bones last album, Ressurection has been offically certified Platinum. Krayzie is still working to put the finishing touches on the Thugline Comp album, more details to come on that. Krayzie has also left Loud records (distribution label) and signed a new distribution with D3 Records. Krayzie got the deal with the help of Steve Lobel. Steve Lobel is back with the Thugs working on their new album. Bone & Steve had seperated after the Ressurection album for personal reason. However, Bone had a reunion concert in Miami a couple of months ago & they sent Steve Lobel a personal invite to the show. Everyone reunited at the show and the Thugs asked Steve to return to them because Steve can make it happen. With Steve back on the camp Bone next album should be back to the orginal sounds of Bone Thugs N Harmony. I spoke to DJ-UNEEK and he told me that the new Bone album is raw and that Steve Lobel is in charge of the entire Thug Nation project. Having Steve back on their team will bring Bone back to the top. 1/30/02 Bone Thugs N Harmony Have an instrumental album coming in April and look for the new Bruce Hathcock album droppin' real soon. Dr. Dre is finishing up the work for his next album which is set to drop in April. Young Dre is in the studio's right now workin on his album, and he jus finished doin' some work on the Men In Black soundtrack, so keep an ear out for that. C-Murder is still under determination as to how much time he'll have to spend in jail or if he get's out on not guilty. D-Milli from II Entertainment is soon to drop his album mid this year also. If you havn't already go pick up the OUTLAWZ album entitled Novakane with the hit single "WorldWide feat. 2pac." The video for Worldwide broke history on 106 n Park, by being the first independent video to make the top 10 videos'.
1/22/02 Steve Lobel came down with he OUTLAWZ to do a show in San Francisco. The show was at the Velvet Lounge on Broadway in the City. The show off the hook, OUTLAWZ ripped it. The OUTLAWZ will soon be going on tour with 3 more acts, very popular acts. The names of them will not be released until the tour is final! OITLAWZ will also have a DVD coming out soon, in a couple of months. The DVD will be unlike other DVD's released. It will have real life scenes of the OUTLAWZ, on the road, doing interview, shows, radio, chilliin' with the homies and many more footage that has never been showed or released. One of the masterminds behind the DVD besides Steve Lobel & The OUTLAWZ, is RUBEN. If you run into the OUTLAWZ you'll most likely see Ruben. He'll be the one with the camera capturing everyting that will go on the DVD.

12/18/01 A new Eazy-E album is soon to drop. Ruthless Records is set to drop a collection of unreleased songs by the late great Eazy-E on March 26th, 2002. The EP will be titled The Real Godfather Of Gangsta Rap and it will have 8 unreleased songs which were produced by Rhythm D. The EP will drop on the anniversay of Eazy-E's death. Along with the EP a DVD will also be dropped. It will have an Eazy timeline, photo gallery, videos, T.V. apperance, and interviews with members of N.W.A. Be sure to pick it up. R.I.P. 12/05/01 Jadakiss's Tour Bus Flips over. Jadakiss was on his way to do a radio interview with Busta Rhymes at Chicago's WPWX radio,(Busta was not on the bus) and on the way there the bus suddenly took an off road detour. The driver of the bus said that a deer had came onto the road and to avoid hitting the deer he had to suddenly stir to the rightside of the road and the bus went through the roads guardrails. The bus fliped onto it's side and slide about 700 feet ending up in a ravine, and then the bus started to fill up with water. Luckly no one was hurt. Everyone was on their sides and helping one another up and out of the bus. Jadakiss's Dj only had a cut on his had, nothing big.
11/27/01 Another soon departure from Priority Records, Ice Cube is now getting to leave the label. After his next release, Greatest Hits album, Cube will leave the label. The album is due out December 4th. Two new songs on the Greatest Hits album are "In the late night", which was produced by the Neptunes, and "$100 Bill Yall" produced by Tha Rockwilder. Ever since new EMI owner, Priority has lost a lot of their top artist. They lost the Power House of No Limit, they loss Mac-10 and now they losing Ice Cube.
11/26/01 Last week Suge Spoke to the students of USC. The purpose of his talk was on business and leadership. At the end Suge gave out his numbers to students offering any student a chance to work with Tha Row Records. Suge also brought along six artist of Tha Row Records with him.

11/13/01 The Outlaws are now on the road doing their promo tour. Last night they were in Fresno and tonight they will be there tonight also. Tommrow 11/14/01 they will be doing a show in Sac Town for the radio station, The Bomb, and the show will be at one of The Bombs Clubs. Thursday they will do an interview with 106.1 KMEL from here in San Francisco, Note the interview will be by phone. And then they will be on their way out to portland. More dates will follow as I get them. Remember the Outlaws have Steve Lobel working with them so you know their sh-t will be tight.
11/13/01 Jay-Z and the Roc-A-Fella camp will be doing a benefit concert at New York's Appllo Theater on November 23rd and the show is open for all ages and it will benefit the Roc-A-Fella foundation. Also, Lion Gate/Roc-A-Fella flims is about to release a flim on urban crime drama, it will be titled State Property and will release nationwide in January.
11/11/01 Glass House Entertainment is throwing a concert at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, CA. The line up is JUVENILE, TRICK DADDY, TOO $HORT, and E-40. Tickets go on sale thursday november 15th.
11/08/01 Master P has renamed his No Limit label, because he's now with Universal Records and the new name is New No Limit Records. His first release off the new label will be on December 18th and it's titled GAMEFACE. The album will feature C-Murder, Silk the Shocker, LiL Romeo and more. Also P has started a foundation in L.A. which will provide 7,000 jobs for inner city children nationwide, this will be part of the "Stop The Violence" peace campaign. Good lookin' out P!
11/03/01 Jadakiss performed at Phillys Powerhouse concert, put on by radio station power 99, and the outcome was not good. Jada had the crowd going and the show was off the hook until Jada let loose a freestyle that got peeps in the crowd mad. Jada started to freestyle dissin' on Phillys own Beanie Sigel. The crowd realized that Jada was dissin' Beanie and they started to boo him. The crowd started to throw stuff on the stage, items like bottles, cars keys and more other stuff. After Jada finished his verse he left the stage, but at the same time Beanie made his appearance at the show. Witness say that while Jada was freestylin' someone got a hold of Beanie, and then it was on. As soon as Jadakiss left the stage Beanie came onto the stage and straight ripped it on the mic dissin' Jadakiss. Here are some of the lines that Jadakiss says "Send Sigel a wire that I'm ridin' again/we gettin' it on/throw your mans leg on the lawn/he can't walk/put your brothers tongue in the mail..." and Sigel comes with "I'ma do this right...(Shhhh)...I'm thinkin' about fu-kin' his mom and lettin him watch/I'm takin' his time I'm takin' his watch/I'm takin' his game/puttin' five 8's on his block..." The beef between these two is gettin bigger and bigger.
11/02/01 Snoop Dogg has signed with a new record label with MCA Records. Snoop also bring Doggy Style Records to MCA. Doggy Style brings artist such as Kokane, La Toyia Williams, Soopafly and E-White. Other Snoop Dogg news is that Snoop will fight the drug charge case he is facing. Snoops camp says that because it's Snoop Dogg his bus gets stop because of the high profile status he holds.
10/31/01 GlassHouse Records presents CAZ with the brand new album Goin' Head Up album in stores November 2001. The new single My Bloc feat. Kurupt, Rasskass, and Rosco. Be sure to pick that album up and call your radio station and request the new single My Bloc.
10/30/01 Snoop Dogg was arrested again with possession of marijuana. Snoop had just finished his show tuesday in Cleveland, Ohio. After the show Snoops bus was pulled over by police because the bus was going 77mph and the speed limit was 55mph. When stopped police brought dogs to sniff out any drugs and they found 6 bags of weed weighing about 200 grams. Snoop was charged with possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor with a $100 fine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and with all that the fine goes up to $250 and 30 days in jail. During all of this Snoop was cool and very professional with the cops.
10/29/01 Stanford University has now brought "The Language of Hip-Hop Culture." It's a linguistics course, and students can now study the connection between hip-hop, language, youth culture & ideology. "Hip-Hop is the next chapter of African-American folklore," says instructor H. Samy Alim.
10/28/01 Capone-N-Noreaga got arrested last thursday for drug charges. He was arrested at a Marriott hotel in North Carolina. Capone was caught with over an ounce of weed and drug paraphernalia. He knew he did something wrong and admits it because at the time of his arrest he was very polite and didn't make a scene.
10/19/01 The OUTLAWZ have a new album coming out titled Novakane. The first single is Worldwide featuring 2PAC. Producer Felli Fel is one of the producers who did the remix to the single. The one and only Steve Lobel is also working with the Outlawz. Be sure to pick the album up on November 6th, 2001.
10/16/01Ol' Dirty Bastart (ODB) is back in the media, but for two reason, 1. being senteneced on friday for 2 years in New York prison for fleeing a drug rehab in L.A. last year. ODB will serve his time concurrently with his previous 2 years , and he's already served 1 year so that means he might get released as early as next year (2002) and 2. D3 Entertainment will release ODB's next ablum The Trials & Tribulations of Russell Jones. The album will feat. RZA, MACK-1O, METHOD MAN, & BIG SYKE. Also, ODB has all new lyrics on this album before he left Elektra Records.
10/11/01According to Atlantic Ray J is about to sign a new record deal with Suge Knight's label Tha Row Records. This deal has not become official yet. Ray J said that Tha Row is closer to his own personality.

10/08/01Noreaga is working on a flim titled Whut Whut. The flim stars various hip hop artist and O.J. Simpson. Noreaga says his movie got so much real Sh-t that it can't be seen on MTV or BET. The movie will be released internationally, but no release date has been set.
10/5/01DMX is embarking on a tour called The Hoodstock Tour.The tour will be in the east coast and will be free of charge. The show will be outside on top of a 18 wheeler truck. According to Def Jam the tour starts October 12th and ends November 1st. The tour will go through Baltimore, Boston, Hartford, New York, Chiacgo, Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Richmond, Norfolk, Charlotte, and Atlanta. To get time and location of the tour listen to your local radio station for details (eastcoast radio only). DMX's new album The Great Depression drops October 23rd, be sure to pick it up.
10/4/01 Davey-D was fired from his position as Community Affairs Director position at KMEL on October 1st, 2001. Davey-D set a high standard by making his show an open talk show aimed towards the younger people of today. Clear Channel is eliminating the position of Community Affairs Director at 106.1 KMEL.
10/01/01According to Davey D, KMEL DJ, Dr.Dre is working on an anti-Osama Bin Laden song. The song which has no title to it yet will be an anthem expressing the publics angry towards terrorism. Other news, Dr. Dre and Timbaland have joined forces on a project called "Chairmen of the Board". This project doesn't have a release date yet.

9/27/01No Limit has now signed a new distribution deal with Universal Records. No Limit used to be with Priority. No beef, just business that's all. The first artist to release off No Limit/Universal Records will be MIA X her album will be called SISTA STORIES album drops Feb. 2002.
9/24/01Puffy will be on the upcoming soon vouge magazine for his clothing company Sean John. He's the first black rapper to appear on the cover for vouge.
9/19/01Jay Z received 5 mics from the source. The album "Blueprint" sold over 400,000 copies in it's first week of release, despite the terror attack. Jay Z is touring so be on the look out for Jay Z to be coming to your hood. He'll be at the Warfield in San Francisco on October 11, 2001.
9/19/01Michael Jackson is making a song and invited Brittney Spears, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and Mya to make guest appereances on the song. The song is dedicated to the victims of the World Trade Center, and Pentagon bombing.
9/18/01 The Dr. himself, Dr. Dre, is donating $1 million to help the victims of the WTC bombing.
9/14/01-BMG records, Home to Bad Boy Records, J Records, Flipmode & Def Squad annouced that they will donate $2 million dollars to help victims of the World Trade Center Attack. Local radio station Wild 94.9 was going to have a $100,000 dollar give away to one winner, however, because of the attack on 9/11/01 on the WTC the radio station is now donating the money to help the victims that were in the attack. Also Power 106 in LA is raising 1.6 million to donate to the victims. Much love to everyone who's helping during our sorrow.

9/08/01-The LUNIZ are dropping a new album early 2002. Headed by Steve Lobel & D-Low. Album name "Black n Silver" (not confirmed) Some of the track are: Raiders, Surveillance, Undeniable, Victiam, and Street Money. Some of the producers are L-T Hut and Tha Rockwilder. The first single to be released is "Raiders". This track is HOT, I had a chance to be with the Luniz in LA when they were recording and this track is off tha HOOK!!! Be sure to peep this album when it drops.
