Last year I rafted down the Colorado River. We started at the Glen Canyon Dam and got out at Lee's Ferry. It was mostly a calm water trip, but fun. The canyon walls extending up from the river reach hundreds of feet into the ski.
Here I'm sitting on top of the canyon. About a foot behind me is a dropoff to the river that is about 500 feet down.
After leaving the Colorado River I traveled north to the small town of Escalante, Utah. I stayed in a small motel that only had 10 rooms.

After putting my bags in the room and visiting with the owner of the motel, she told me of The Devil's Rock Garden. It sounded  spooky at first and it was way out in the middle of nowhere, but she assured me I would like it. Well this is a small picture of what I found when I got there. It was facinating, the way these rocks stood and all the shapes and sizes. There was a storm off in the distance which added to the scenery. I  had the whole place to myself.
These pictures are from my trip to the Colorado River and to Utah.
