Duc's Tibia Plateau Fracture | |||||||||||||

|||||||||||||
Duc went wakeboarding on October 30, 2000, and tried to do a flip, a "tantrum" to be correct. Well, he didn't rotate correctly and landed on the water with all the weight on his left leg. He had a tibia plateau fracture (in layman's terms, he shattered the top of his shin bone) and spent eight days in the hospital recovering from the surgery. On the left is a picture of his leg after the staples were taken out. Ugly, huh? On the bottom left is the X-ray of his leg if you looked at it from the back. The bottom right picture is an X-ray of the side view. The plate and screws will become a permanent part of his body. Stay tuned for more leg updates... |
