This 4-Tec is my on-going project. It is usually always ready to go. I just and new parts to it every week or so. I am trying to customize it without sacrificing functionality. For right now, this car is a parking lot thrasher. I run Traxxas 20 % Nitro and run it slightly rich for continuous high speed runs. When you lean this car out, it realy rips but runs a little hot.
The engine with the Powerline blue head and the Motorsaver air filter with dust cover I drilled a hole in the center of the one-way bearing and on the bottom of the EZ-Start and then inserted an aluminum elbow. When the bearing slips, I put the spray in the tube and it's ready to go.
The top view of the 4-Tec New Boost Bottle. The temp guage couldn't handle the rigors of the nitro car and crapped out the first time I used it! I'll save up for a temp gun.
4-Tec Front with the Powerline blue upper arm mount/upper arms, front knuckles, gear box,MIP shiny CVD's and Pro shocks, Powerline sus.arms, MIP shiny CVD's, rear gear box, and the Traxxas Pro Diff.

06-02-02: I did a high speed run and did a powerslide into a wall causing the 4-tec to flip over and destroy the whole right side suspension....parts on order.

06-08-02: All new suspension parts arrived and installed.

06-09-02: I went down to Oceanside to visit my friend J.E.W. He ended up donating his Nitro 4-Tec Pro with ALL Powerline anodized blue parts on it to me. He also gave me a ton of spare parts. My 4-Tec will be updated with more new parts. Pics coming soon.......

06-10-02: I installed the Traxxas Pro diffs, front and rear, Powerline front and rear gear cases, upper front arms, rear suspension arms, and pulley mount. I also installed the MIP shiny diffs, front and rear.

06-15-02: Another high speed crash.....Left front side, I bent the Powerline front upper suspension arm, snapped the titanium tie rod and bent a steering linkage screw. I am now going to stick with the plastic upper suspension arms. My motorsaver air filter flew off somewhere. I had to go back and find it......which I did luckily. Keep an eye out for yours!

08-09-02: I've decided to change the Nitro 4-tec. Right now the car is completely apart. I am going to remove the EZ Start and put in a pull start. I also installed a Ofna linkage kit (Yellow) and a few other things. My other Nitro 4-tec will be up for sale soon. One is good enough.
08-20-02: Sold the other Nitro 4-tec with this engine in it. I decided to get a different motor. My friend speaks highly about HPI. I will be looking into buying one soon. I guess HPI has a good engine for the price. Any suggestions? Please e-mail me. Thanks.
