Day in the Life formed in the year 2000, with original members Mark Quinn on vocals and guitar, and Brandon Consoli on vocals and bass. Back then the name of Day in the Life had not been thought of yet and Mark and Brandon had been playing under the name of Cold Confusion. Mark and Brandon spent a few years writing there own songs and putting music to them. After a while they decided to record a cd (Day in the Life), but with little money and little experience they ended up recording it in Marks basement. Though the quality wasn't the greatest, it was a cd none the less.

After listening to it several times, Mark and Brandon felt it was missing something, it just wasn't exactly what they wanted. Wanting to have a more diverse sound, Cold Confusion(Day in the Life) turned to Andrew Beckerson to play the drums in February 2004. It took some time to get the whole band up and running but it eventually did. Mark, Brandon and Andrew started to practice on a consistant basis, starting out by getting Andrew to put some drum tracks down for the songs that Mark and Brandon had already wrote. At first the three members weren't too serious about things because each member had alot of other stuff on there plate that was happening at the time. Some time had passed, and the guys started talking again about starting things up and making things happen this time. But before they did they decided to get themselves a new name for their fresh start.

After many different names were thrown around for the band to be called, Mark had come up with something. While listening to the radio he heard the Beatles song called A Day in the Life. He thought nothing of it, but that it was a good song. Later that day he was sitting thinking of a new name for the band when he saw the video for David Usher called A Day In The Life. It reminded him of the Beatles song and he thought wow that would be a pretty good name for a band. After he thought about it more, he decided to drop the "A" and just make it Day in the Life. he ran this name by Andrew and Brandon, they of course loved it. So with a new name and a new attitude, Day in the Life were ready to get back at it.

They started to write songs, but not just songs that are the same old stuff you hear everyday. They wanted a slightly different sound then what was out at the time. The guys wrote a ton of songs, and again with little money, decided to record some of them. Again the place of recording was Mark's basement. Day in the Life didn't have the best equipment to use, but they wanted to see how it would sound anyway. In the middle of recording this cd, Day in the Life got an opportunity they had been waiting for, the chance to play a show. The venue was at a big outdoor party in Caledonia Krulipalooza IV.

With one live performance under their belt, the guys from Day in the Life knew that this was something they love doing and definately want to do this for as long as they possibly can. Since that time Day in the Life has been able to write and perform over 20 songs as well as record a three song demo at Mastermind Studios. At the next couple of performances, Day in the Life was able to play more then 100 people per performance. These guys have music in their blood and will stop at nothing less then perfection.
