The Rhode Island Polymer Clay Guild
In the summer of 1999 a few friends and I started the RIPCG.  The goal of our guild is to spend one day a month with like-minded people and share techniques and ideas.

Now, seven years later, our guild consists of about 20 women from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and even one from Washington, D.C. who lives in Rhode Island in the summer months.   We meet on the fourth Saturday of each month for five hours in Woonsocket and in Warwick (alternating months).

Guild Days
Every guild day is a hands-on clay day.  After a brief update about what's going on in the guild, members will exchange ideas, suggestions, and tips. There is always at least one demo.  Bring polymer clay and embellishments, tools (such as your pasta machine and your clay gun), a tile to work on, your pasta machine, items for show and tell, and your lunch.  Members take turns bringing in their ovens and some members bring items for the snack table (not mandatory!)

If you are an adult and you love to work with polymer clay and you would like to meet with us once a month, you can contact Sandy Beaudry, Vice President and Membership Coordinator, at smbeaudry@cox.net, and tell her as much as possible about yourself and you can arrange for a visit to our guild and clay with us for a day.  Previous members who would like to visit during a guild day, please e-mail Sandy.  If you are a child, or you have a child, who likes to work with polymer clay, go to Bobbie Schaeffer's web site to read about polymer clay classes for kids. Bobbie is a board member of RIPCG and has many years experience as an art teacher.

RIPCG Lending Library
Tricia, our guild's Librarian, has created an inventory of the videos and books in our modest library.  Needless to say, only RIPCG members can borrow videos or books.  Tricia would appreciate it if members would contact her with recommendations for videos.
