The Fairy's Wheel
The Mortal Ferris Wheel is gone, before you, kissed by the Dreaming is the Fairy's Wheel. The fence about it is covered in part by illusion, an illusion both produced and dispelled by Glamour, for any being of Enchantment can see the gate to get in.
This close, the spiraling glamour seems like some bizarre cross between fire, lightning, and wave; the azure energies having aspects of all three. Through the gate, and beneath the belly of the Wheel, lays the Rath that leaves the Autumn World entire, and goes into the Near Dreaming.
One enters to find him or herself into the center of a giant ring of sapphire and sky colored Balefire. Futons, and Papas an chairs of almost Persian flair lay with in the circle, in it's center a dais rises slightly above it all. Chimeric round tables of pure crystal lay about near the furniture. The Balefire, not being mortal flame, casts no true heat, indeed, it seems to cast a breeze of refreshing cool throughout the chamber.
No mortal weapons are permitted here, and one may notice that this place rarely has Enchanted mortals in it, unless they are Kinain, or wounded. It is truly the area of the Hold least touched by man. The Viscount and Viscountess may step through the Balefire wall itself. When they do, it seems to part just enough for them to do so. Anyone else attempting such may find themselves both Chimerically burned (no heat, yet it still sears seemings if handled without respect) or lost in an unprotected part of the Near Dreaming, and with no Silver beneath.
While many of the temporary tunnels in the flame lead to the rooms in the Hold's heart, various passages also seem to come up from parts of the floor, and lead below to differing locations. One, of course, returns through the Rath, and the Freehold's greater body
outside. One leads to a mortal apartment's closet via a short but steady Trod. The third leads to the library well below.
