Back for the first time in a long while. OuTsIdEr has a nice little somthin' for you. He's been scouting - he came to me with a question, and found his own answer! This program will test your sound card, and give you a technical readout of what it's cabable of... LONG data sheet at the end of a very brief test. Results may be submitted to the creator, I suppose because he is building one of the world's largest sound card databases, and all info he can get would help. Find out your results by downloading the modestly named SCTEST! I love when I get to update this section, it makes me feel so complete. :D Anyways, I'm just here to say the Blue Screen of Death fix for Windows Mellennium Edition is finished. However this version should actually work with any version of Windows. The only catch is you must use the CD for what you're patching... '98SE, must be patched with an SE CDROM, or Win95C must be patched with the "C" CDROM. If for some reason it won't fix '95, or '98 - the original BSoD Windows 95/98ZIP is below... but if you're looking to fix Millennium Edition, try this. Also, if you're wondering where I got these, let me just officially THANK Revolution. BIG THANKS goes out to Ailuros21 for this!! Customizer 2000! Though there are tons of Windows tweaks (animations = on/off, version numbers displayed, etc, etc...) and some vCache settings, and tons of tweaks this thing is good for - I've found the modem tweaker to be the best part of this little utility. You can use default dial up or default LAN tweaks, or customize it yourself. I've currently been using my 56K line with a customized setting, which appears, as follows: *NOTE TO NEWBIES: No offense, but you probably shouldn't tinker with vCache settings, unless you know what you want. I set up the GAMERS DEFAULT config, and I lost about 5 FPS, so - leave your vcache alone unless you know what you want. Just my suggestion though!
Even before this site became the true SITE that it is now, I must say
that half of the surfers I got to visit this site, were in search of
one thing, and one thing only. |
